They are soft, not shiny, and drape well. They are a fluid fit without being overly baggy. Since they come in petite, the length was much better for me. I feel like I'm wading into unknown territory (for me) with these type of pants. I do agree that this size looks too big, even for oversized pants. And good point about the satiny material looking cheap. I don't know if I can really pull off true harem pants, though. The teasing from DH would be merciless!!!</p> <p>I think I'm going to ditch these and try something else. I do want it to look at least slightly flattering. I tried on three, including one from Vince with a leather side strap,<br /> and one slouchy ankle pant from Eileen Fisher, but the Vince one was too tight and the EF one just looked like baggy leggings. The Topshop one looked the best. It has a wrap detail on the front. But I don't know if this looks good on me or whether I look like I have diaper butt syndrome? Also I'm wondering if this is the right fit or I need to size down. I ordered an 8 which they said was US 6-8 (since I'm normally a size 6 in most bottoms &amp; dresses), but when I got it the tag said US 8. So I could order the 6 which they said was US 2-4. Sorry for the bad pics, I would normally not stand like that but it's really hard to show detail on black pants. What do you think? Keep, size down or keep looking?<br />Thanks!</p>
