I also like the sandals a lot, and I think they look classy and current. I also think they bookend your hair somewhat, so they will look good with lots of things. If you don't love them enough for the price, that's a good reason to hold out for something you like better, though. Yes, the lighter wash jeans did have a huge flare (about 3" of it was turned under in that photo!). In the end, I felt like that pair was chanelling me circa 1975, leaving me feeling slightly dated. That's silly, I know, because they are perfectly current, but I think I'll feel more modern in crops. The oxfords are another matter. I jumped on team wear right away today! They still feel super comfy after a full day of running around. I recommend them to anyone who is considering them. I also came home with the cropped pink Halogen pants on p. 83 of the catalogue and have a ringing endorsement on them, too.</p> <p>Thanks, also, for all the hair comments. I wonder if part of what is making them seem heavy on your foot is the added bulk of the jeans hem, which creates 2 strong, weighted horizontal lines in close proximity. They're great paired with the jeans you have on. I consider them to be super, super stylish.<br /> You look the same as I do in flares, and I think they look better with the shirt untucked. It makes your legs look longer, IMO, but the look is more relaxed, which might be a compromise for you. I would wear them myself -- they seem very similar in shape to my silver SE Trinas, which also have a thick strap and low chunky heel so same potential issues.
