The rest of the silhouette looked better than the larger size, but I can't wear it. And the larger size feels too big on me. </p> <p>Oh well. In the Nordstrom pic, the jacket hits the top of the thigh. On me it's practically at the knee. I look like a kid wearing one of those little-girl party coats. </p> <p>Sometimes jackets are made longer in larger sizes. (Don't ask why, but I've seen this.) I can check the specs on the different sizes. This cost is too long. I think you could try a size down but if you can't comfortably layer etc then keep this size as it looks happy and a beautiful colour. I sympathise about being short and the proportions. However, a roomy fit in a jacket of this type is not necessarily a bad thing.
