I like 1 the best.

The red boots are cute too. I hadn't thought of Ronald McDonald until you said something!

The blue belt is a winner too.

I love the black dress and black pb blouse on you. The shirtdress looks a bit wide but I can see why you like it. All in all great finds!

I this these are all keepers AJ, once you add your fine styling touch! You have found some wonderful things that will work well in your wardrobe. As for the boots, I think they'd be great peeking out from under some bootcut jeans.

Great haul!! I NEVER find stuff this cute and flattering in my thrifting adventures. The first dress either needs a little altering or maybe (since it sounds like you are handy with a sewing machine) you could separate the two into a blouse and skirt. It's a lot of polkadot and could probably use a little "breaking up".

Loving #3 and #5 especially. You do a "ladylike look" so well, and I'm a sucker for a dress with well designed pockets! The boots might work with a winter skirt (dark denim or wool) and tights or leggings -- a more edgy look for sure, but maybe worth a try.

Love the white dress, black dress and blouse. Honestly, I'm not loving the shirt dress. Perhaps it's the fit that is throwing me off. Not loving the boots.. but under jeans should be great!

I like the blouse on #5 and the mossimo dress is off the charts amazing. Keep.

I think the dress in #1 is hard to fix because of the corrections needed at the shoulder. I've always heard this is one of the hardest alterations, but I'll defer to the experts on that.

The dress in #4 is a little "meh" for me, but I get why you need something like this. I think the dress would look better unbelted and shortened. I would "harness" it with a cropped cardi. I like the belt a whole lot.

I'd have to see the boots under pants to give you my opinion. The color is awesome, however.

The dot dress and pussy bow blouse are perfection. I love them! I don't think it's obvious that the dot dress is too big; sometimes dresses with matching belts are supposed to look cinched in, IMO. I have a few that are probably too big but look just fine belted. I think it looks great on you - keep it.

I don't see RM when I imagine the boots under jeans. I say keep them too, especially since you said they're so comfy.

YAY for thrifting! I used to put some of my best finds on a FB album. Maybe now I'll start putting them on here. =o)

This is all adorable. If you can fix the size of 1, I am totally envying that dress. Also I would shorten the one in 4 a lot. Second dress is so fab.

@kellygirl - Ha, yes after I came up with the RM reference, I also can't get that out of my head! But it does look better just peeking out of the hems of jeans. Plus it's very comfortable. So I'm thinking these will be great for walks and other outdoor treks/drizzly weather.

I keep looking at the boots and can't decide what I think. I wish you didn't say RM to start--now I can't get it out of my head. I'm very impressionable at this hour. I'm thinking under jeans would be fine--they just don't look as hip and stylish as your usual footwear.

ETA: I totally get the "too hot to go outside" kind of dress.

@HelenInCanada - I've been having a lot of luck with Savers lately! Thanks for SQUEE-ing along with me!

@kellygirl - The first and second dresses are polyester, so not great for my summers, but it will be useful until it hits 85 degrees (F). I had similar thoughts about the wide sleeveless width with the black dress, but this will be my very casual "it's so hot outside, I just want to stay in" dress. : P

No opinions on the red boots?

Now that is a shirtdress! Love 1 and the blouse in 5. The dress in 2 looks like a great hot weather dress. I could go either way on the black knit dress. I'm pretty sure you can do some fab styling with it but I'm not crazy about it as is because of the dress "sleeves." I think I would like it better if they were cut in more. The belt looks like a nice basic.

Oh my holy WOW - your posts never disappoint, AJ! You are definitely the Queen of Unbelievable Thrifting (hasn't Angie crowned you yet? )

First, the Mossimo dress is GORGEOUS - love the print, shape, pockets, and fashion-forward vibe. And brand new? Eeeee.

The black knit dress is a classically elegant beauty. You could probably hem it an inch for your proportion - it would still be midi, but just slightly below-the-knee. Perfect for summer - and heck, anytime of the year. You could do one billion styling miracles with that one.

The Ann Taylor blouse is perfection. I'm still stunned by these finds - and the prices.

The first dress is supremely ladylike! I love it on you, and for $2.99 you can hem or alter to your heart's content. It DOES look slightly big, but I don't think a major surgery is required. It still looks great as is!

CONGRATS ON A STELLAR HAUL! I love thrifting too! Now you've got money left over to take everyone out for dinner!

None of these are styled, so please ignore messy hair and black flats.

1) I LUV this colorful dotty dress! Admittedly it's a bit big on me. I figure for $2.99, I can break out the orphan sewing machine and try to fix it. It's polyester so will that be difficult? Sewers, your opinions here would be most appreciated.

2) Close up of next item. Notice the subtle polka dots! Squeee!!

3) $4.99 new with tags, Mossimo (Target) dress. I like the contrast neckline...I think it softens my wide shoulders, no? Plus it has POCKETS and there's narrow black trim that runs vertically down the dress and outlines the pocket opening. I thought that was a nice detail.

4) Getting tired, so three items photographed together:
$2.99 Black light weight knit dress that would be great for my hot summers.
$2.99 Blue ostrich print belt (hmmm...dotty theme going on here.)
$7.99 Red short boots. I see from the photos that these will not go with skirts/dresses. So I will wear them with my jeans. Do they look too Ronald McDonald-ish?

5) $5.99 Black silk Ann Taylor PB blouse. Just the blouse, the rest I already had.

OK, that's all for now. Would appreciate any feedback on these.
