I love your styling of the skirt. The top will go with a lot of things. I am on a pencil skirt kick for Spring/Summer as well. Like you, I've found that a slight taper goes a long way to adding shape to the hips and slim legs. That just-at-the-top-of-the-knee length is perfect and very elongating to the leg line as well.
