I think one of the reasons I didn't wear my last pair of tall boots too much was that I found them too hot. Nowadays, I run much, much colder such that I have to remember that I can't wear sandals until the temps are in the 80s. The boots seem to be better with my skirts which run longer than my dresses. I don't wear my skirts nearly enough so maybe this will be an incentive. I don’t need to *fit in* but I also don’t want people to think that I am trying to recapture my youth.</p> <p>I haven’t bought or worn tall boots in probably more than three decades so I obviously don’t *need* them in my mild climate. Plus, I find tall boots nearly impossible to fit due to short legs, muscular calves, small ankles, wide forefoot, etc. I had to add a pad to the forefoot of these because my right foot apparently no longer bends enough for a 1.5” heel.</p> <p>I am trying to remind myself that just because something fits doesn’t mean I have to buy it. And if I am uncertain enough to ask here, does it really mean that I should return them?</p> <p>Thanks for weighing in. </p>
