Isn't that the most amazing bit of luck?! To turn what were skinnies into slouchy skinnies! Yay!

I like your new trousers, too, and the booties are very cute. I am afraid I don't know how to deal with a fabric shoe, but I would expect you would need to spray it with something. Maybe Naturalizer recommends something?

Wow - these all look really, really good! I adore those booties - they have such a cute retro vibe to them. And I'm crazy about your "new" slouchy skinnies. Perfect!

Not a bad idea Atlantia, black and white tweed could be a fun addition.

Thanks ladies! Good to know the slouchy skinnies are going over well. When I first bought them, they were so tight on me. Quite a lot of changes going on!

Jenava - I am still only dipping my toe into the waters of tucking. And I only own one belt! Perhaps I will take some test shots and we'll see how it goes.

Thistle - I have never had fabric shoes before, and would love some suggestions on weatherproof spray or something similar to keep them looking newer, longer. As for the smooth line, that is how these used to fit, and since losing 15 pounds they have begun to droop by several inches. I'm hoping to get a bit more wear out of them yet.

Angie - glad they meet with your approval!

So here's the question, ladies...should I go out and get another pair of slim leg trousers that have a more tailored fit now? Then as I continue to lose weight they will become slouchy skinnies. I could pick them up in a black pinstripe or a black and white tweed. Thoughts? I don't want to buy another pair in a slouchy fit, as the pair I have are in danger of being far too large quite soon.

Thanks to this awesome community! I've never felt so good about a purchase before.

You scored big time! The wide trousers and booties are 10s! And the tapered leg trousers look fab to my eye! Not too large at all. Well done :)

I kind of like the last trousers as "slouchy" ones. Love the booties.

Like he booties. Not sue how hard you are on fabric shoes and how they will hold up for you. Still, super cute!

I like the second pair of pants on you a lot. How do they feel?

I am not sure abut the third pair. Slouchy skinnies, maybe, but they look like they might just be too big on you. If you are going for a smooth straight leg, I would keep looking on these

These all look good to me! You do very well in a wide-leg trouser. I'm not a slouch-skinny expert, but I do think that those pants work as slouch-skinnies...I know Aida, Angie, Una and others are better versed in that...

After 3 different coworkers said it was time to get rid of my baggy wide legged trousers, I decided to go shopping yesterday. I came home with a pair of black wide legged trousers, a "denim-rich" indigo wide leg trouser, and a pair of grey fabric booties. The indigo didn't come in short, so it would need to be hemmed if I decide to keep. I've played with the exposure on some shots to better show fit of dark clothes in my dark apartment.
I do have some opinions, but I'm keeping them to myself for now so as not to influence anyone. One thing: PPL is not high on my worry list, as continued weight loss means my pants seem to have a different length every week.

1. The booties. They are grey suede Naturalizers, which have always been kind to my feet.
2. This shows fairly true representations of all colors.
3-4. Black trousers
5-6. Indigo trousers
7-8. Just for fun, these are my slim leg work trousers that are too large. I hope that due to the leg shape, they can be slouchy skinnies?

Thank you so much for looking.
