I like all the printed shirts (ladybugs, so fun! and both kitty prints). I think that the two kitty shirts have totally different looks to them; the navy is high contrast and quite graphic, and the periwinkle is low contrast and soft. If you love the print (how can we not??) I think they would both provide different functions in outfits. LOVE how all of these look tucked, adds some structure to the boyish fit.

Love the kitty cat shirts Sveta and how cute that your fur babies are pictured in the shirt!

Agree that the eyelet shirt isn't quite right and needs to be returned.

BTW - sorry to hear about the Gap sweaters but in a strange way, kind of comforted by the fact that I was not the only one that found they stretched.
Jules, I ave not tried size M but I suspect the fit in the hips would be on the tighter side (my hips must be wider than yours - at least 42"). I can be M or L on the top depending on the shoulder fir but for longer length I usually have to go with L.
Denise, I hear you! This is what attracted me to this white shirt in the first place - tunic style. However I would prefer a fabric with a better drape than this particulat shirt so I would need to continue looking.

I like the first two blouses on you. A white tunic blouse is a great thing for S/S 2013. I think as you wash it it will get better. Or, be PPP and pass on this one and hold out for a better one, but get one. I wish I had the height to wear these tunic tops, they tend to overwhelm me. So wear it for me. Please?

Like the cat blouse too, but when it comes to prints, I prefer the second blouse but it could just be because it looks so great with the pink pants.

I bought a medium in the bug shirt and it fits just fine over my also ample hips (about 40" these days I think). It could be more fitted in the waist - I'd call it relaxed, but not boxy. I wouldn't want to go any bigger. I can be either a medium or large in tops. With some cuts I immediately know I will have a hip issue but I knew to grab the medium with this one when I saw it in store.

What size are you on top, DJ? I wear 10-12 and shoulders are what I need to go for 12 for as my bust is not big.
These shirts are L Tall. XL was WAY too big all over and even those in L while fitting in the shoulders are quite roomy everywhere else. I think this is one of the reasons they fit well in the hips :-)
Sveta, I echo everybody else who says you should keep all the kitty shirts. And if you ever find those elusive white jeans, they will look great with all those shirts too!

I am very impressed with how well the shirts fit you in the hips. I know from your jeans posts that we are the same size on the bottom, and I have a devil of a time finding shirts that aren't too small on my hips. I think I'm going to try these shirts too! If you don't mind me asking, what size did you go with? I'm leaning towards getting an XL in tall, just to be sure they fit.

Sveta, I love the printed shirts.....they have such personality and look great on you. The blush trousers are fab, no washing out that I can see. To my eye, the eyelet top looks a bit boxy and not as fab as the others.

I agree with Suz. #1 isn't quite as fab although maybe it just needs to be taken in a little on the sides. I like the texture of the eyelet very much.
I don't think the lighter cat shirt washes you out at all. It looks great with the blush trousers. When you find shirts that fit as well as these, why not have two? Especially if the cats resemble yours

I agree about the eyelet shirt, Sveta. Something isn't right about it.

But I really like both the Gap shirts on you. The first one is versatile in the number of colours you could wear with it. The pale blue one is just so classic for summer. And no, I don't think it is too much to have two kitty shirts. After all, you have even more kitties than that!

After I returned Gap mesh sleeves sweaters (sobbing - but could not stand the stretch factor) I decided that I need to get several new tops for summer. I don't really wear t-shirts - cannot feel fab in them does not matter what I pair them with - so I decided to try some shirts.
One of the goals I had to find tops I can wear with my new blush khaki trousers. I also discovered that I don't have white tops I can wear in summer except for a single button down. I need to correct this ASAP, right?

pic 1-2 Tried this eyelet popover shirt from Gap. At first I was liking it but now I am leaning towards returning. Mostly because it feels a bit stiff and does not tuck well IMO (see pic 2)

pic 3-5 Lady bug shirt from Gap - what a coincidence that Angie posted it today as well! This shirt had a completely different reaction from the white one: did not like it much at first but the it kind of grew on me. I think it works well with blush trousers (pic 3) and surprisingly I like it under my new citron blazer. I was mainly afraid the print is too juvenile for me but after Angie's post I feel better about it :-)

pic 6-8 I blame Aida! I have this cat shirt in navy and thought it looks better than in pastel colors. However when I saw Aida's outfits with it I liked them so much I decided to give it try as well. I was afraid the pastel blue will wash me out - what do you think? Does it work with blush trousers? (pic 6) For comparison here is my navy cat shirt - pic 9. Is it too weird to have both of them? Should I keep the light blue?

Just for those who did not try these shirts yet (both cat and lady bug) - they have very luxurious feeling to the fabric, silky to the touch and does not really require ironing if you hang it right out of the wash. I think the quality is very good for the price - and look how long the tall is on me!!!:-)

What do you think - should I keep any of those?
