I guess it’s a 90s vibe. They are the only shoes that work with wide crops, to my eye. The heavy ,stretchy denim and the lumpiness of the hem and fly area didn’t inspire happiness - I kept a pair from Jag that work better for me - but I truthfully don’teven wear them much . And, I had to try these jeans in several sizes as I recall. Crops are always just a little too long on me. The hem is looking a little lumpy, Lisa. You have these jeans, right? It's a very heavy and very stretchy denim. I'm an iron-er, so I'll run the iron over them next time&nbsp; I wash.</p> <p>I would wear these shoes with 2 or 3 other pairs of wide crops (thanks for the nice words, Suz) - denim (cream, grey) and nylon (navy) - that I got last year, and I'd wear them with a my Eddie Bauer shorts and skorts in grey and khaki, and other shorts I guess. I have lots of joggers - khaki green, navy, grey. </p> <p>I wear my Steve Madden Non-stop booties with wide crops (have numerous colors) usually. Immediate reaction-super comfortable, but felt they weren’t flattering. Packed them to send back. </p> <p>But, inspired by Suz to wear my neglected BR dark denim wide leg crops today, I also was inspired to try the shoes back on. I think I like them. </p> <p>My husband doesn’t ever like wide legs on me but he said that the shoes make the jeans look better. So that’s something! </p> <p>I do not have other ink blue sneakers and I do not have any platform sneakers. But I have plenty of sneakers in general. Keep or return?</p> <p>Update: I am keeping. Thanks for the advice to try on with various outfits. I actually really like these shoes with the joggers and skort. And my go to neutral has become ink/navy so I think they’ll be really versatile. The color is a true navy blue - the stock photo doesn't represent it well.</p>
