I don't see the issue with the bottoms. I see that on both legs, the inseam is higher than the outer seam, giving a slanted effect at the hem. Both legs look the same to me (the left one maybe needs pressing?) so it seems intentional. If you think there is in fact a defect, though, I don't know why the company wouldn't just exchange them for anotehr pair. I think you <i>need</i> this addition to your denim wardrobe. Last year I picked up the brown ones during NAS and then I wore them all.the.time. They were an Angie's pick, and are the most comfy boots I own. Sometimes I feel they look a bit clownish on my feet, but the comfort far surpasses that concern. But back to the Fryes. Some people swear by Frye. For me, these particular ones have a bit of heel slippage for me. I put an insert in, but it didn't really help. I went through a terribly painful breaking in period, which helped. But I don't like to walk distances in these b/c the rubbing drives me bananas. If I was in the US I'd probably have returned them. But I'd ripped off the tags &amp; packaging &amp; wore them home across the border when I bought them. Second issue is that they seem a bit flower-potish. I'd tried on the more distressed version in person but think a darker wash would be more different in my closet full of denim.</p> <p>I'm attaching photos. I walked straight in from my volunteer job so am a bit greasy. I kept on just a tank and then a white tshirt to see the jeans properly. Tried a few boot options.</p> <p>Concern: I know the length is a wee short, but that doesn't bother me. What is a bit odd is the warpy look at the bottom. The fabric isn't regular denim but more like a sweat material, so I get that it can pull as it's stitched together.</p> <p>I believe that I pay return shipping costs unless there is a defect. I've emailed my foot shot to the company to see if this classifies as a defect. There's a chance I'd have to pay a $12.95 "re-stocking fee" if I return a non-defective item.</p> <p>I do otherwise quite like them. I have a sugar-eye for this type of slouch and really like the dark denim look.</p> <p>I'd love your thoughts. Please be brutally honest. Thx </p>
