So, I kept the white sneakers. Last night I sprayed them with scotch guard well enough that water beads up on them. We will see how that works. I plan to wear them to work tomorrow and will road test them and report back.

Wearing the DCs (red skate shoes) to work today. VERY comfy-- more so than traditional Vans. I think that Suz needs to try a pair-- she and I have the same slip on shoes issues and these might work for her.

And the JPs did not work out. The back digs into my heel. *sigh*. The cushioning footbed is AMAZING though. I'll try the new Chucks next.

I appreciate all the input-- I'm still on the fence about the 3 items in finds (the madewell shirt, the black v-neck, and the VC top) and black or white cons-- I really like the white for some reason, which is totally unlike me.

I'm a big fan of the madewell fit, except for the fold of fabric in the back but it may indeed be too big despite being a large on their size chart and previously striking out with mediums.

I like the VC but wonder about the wrinkling and how flattering and useful it will be in my climate.

As far as the sweater, just trying to decide whether to duplicate or not.

I am trying to get things sent back to Nordies tonight. I will report back on the all day comfort of the sneakers once that is done and I've been able to scotch guard whichever pair.

I love all of the Cons. How do they feel? If you keep any of the Air versions, I'd be very interested in your review. Do they go the distance on a long day, for example. I would be thrilled to have an alternative to my Sanita clogs. Just every once in a while. I need a very supportive shoe that is reasonably slip resistant. I've tried Docs but they don't seem to fit me any more (they fit me in the 80s, oddly enough).

OK enough about me.

I think the ponte pants are fantastic on you, you MUST keep them. A real workhorse, as comfortable as jeans but more polished looking.

Not loving the Vince Camuto top in either S or M.

Love the Madewell shirt. Sizing looks right, not too big.

I prefer the Gap hooded sweater to the v neck sweaters. But, the V neck sweaters aren't bad either. Of the three colors, I like the navy best, then black. Don't care for it in gray, as I prefer the Gap sweater in gray. The v neck sweater is a kind of basic though, playing a supporting role and kind of difficult to evaluate on its own as it doesn't make a statement like the Madewell shirt.

The cross front black sleeveless top looks best in the S.

I tried both the JPs and the Allstars and preffered the Allstars (slimmer fit more suited to my foot) but previously wore JPs. I purchased mine at Nordstrom's online but also saw them at Zappos (Nordies just had the best price).

Great, Angie. I tried the JPs with Nike tech and they are good too, the regular Allstars were just a better fit.

Agreeing with everything Angie said, except I prefer the black Cons. I got the mixed media top as well. Mine is black. For me, I chose the medium, and it fits about the same as the medium fits you. I also got the BP sweater in black and gray. Now wishing I had gotten the navy as well! I love all of these on you and think they are a great step up from a tee for everyday wear. The ponte pants are great on you!

The red sneakers are actually DC's-- I'd recommend them to those with narrow heels.

The Nike Cons are great-- they have quite a bit of cushion and are significantly lighter than old cons. They also have a bit of padding in the heel and tongue. I usually wear an 8 or 8.5 and purchased the 8.

I agree that the Madewell top is too big on you.
I love all the sneakers. It's a matter of comfort and preference.
I also love the Gap hoodie.

Agreeing with everything Angie said. I love the hoodie especially. The Halogen drape top is beautiful in small. Not loving the plaid for some reason. It looks too boxy through the body. Adore the red slip ons. Love the white Cons although fabric is tough to keep clean. DDs wear white fabric Vans and Cons and they are a nightmare if you like things to stay pristine. Great haul. Those V necks are fantastic on you--great basics! And wow, you are not kidding about the wrinkles--lol!

Wow, Elly. You did well and that was quite the marathon photo session.

Here’s my two cents:

KUT pants look killer. Sufficiently decent to wear with regular length tops. You have amazing legs.

Gap hoodie looks fab. Fun to layer under a jacket with the hood peaking out. I know you like that look.

ALL V-neck pullovers look killer. Like all the colours - but the ink is hands down most flattering.

Prefer the Medium in the cobalt mixed media top.

Halogen drape front top looks better in a Small. Fab over pencil skirts too.

Not sure a pleated gusset will work on the Madewell Plaid. I find it too large in the torso, Elly. Have you tried the one from Kohls?

LOVE the red Vans.

I prefer the white Chucks - more modern - but you might prefer the black. Easier to keep clean.

Sooo, tell me about the new Nike Air Cons - are they comfy? I wonder if they will work for me too. I LOVE the look of Chucks.

From what I can see, Elly, the pants are keepers, assuming they fill a niche for you. I think they are "pant-like" and you can wear with shorter tops.

Gap hoodie looks comfy and fine -- is the fabrication right for your temps? If so and it's useful, keep.

I prefer the navy for the sweater.

The VC top is tough to judge due to the wrinkles but it's a great colour on you. I do think it works from what I can tell. Since it does wrinkle quite a lot, would that limit its practicality for you?

I really like the black Halogen top and I think I like it in small if it is not uncomfortable. It looks versatile and quite elegant.

I like the plaid shirt and believe it is supposed to fit like that. Nice and cool.

I love the red sneakers! Are they comfy? As for the Cons, I can see how white might be less practical. Both colours look good but black might also be more versatile for you.

Alright! Finally have my orders in. I apologize for the photos-- these are taken on the stairs at the SOs house (my home is covered in sheetrock dust ATM). Forgive the wrinkles! anything that comes in a mailing envelope my postman shoves in my box. In addition to some bras and undies, here are the contenders:

Kut from the Kloth ponte pants--- in all pictures but particularly emphasized in photos 1 and 2. I think they are a good fit, but wonder if I will use them enough. I do have tops that cover the bum, but not many tunics. Are these "pantlike" enough to wear with shorter tops? Also, they are not skinny pants on me. How much of a problem is this?

Also pictured in 1, 2 and 3 is a GAP hoodie sweater. K or R? I was thinking layering piece under leather and denim jackets this fall and winter. I think it is a cotton/poly blend.

In 4-8 is the same sweater in 3 colors. Not a heavy sweater-- more like a tee or top alternative. Trying to determine color and level of versatility. I have both grey wool and black slacks I might wear this with in addition to jeans. I think these are cotton as well.

9-11 is the Vince camuto top in small. 12-15 is the top in medium. Do we like this on me? I'm busty and have IT tendencies. Which size?

16-18 is a halogen top in medium. 19-20 is the small. SO and I disagree about flattery (s versus m).

21-23 Madewell courier shirt in large. I think large is the right size for me in the shoulders and chest, but the back has lots of extra fabric-- is this worth taking to the tailor to add a pleated gusset in the back?

24-25---- New cons (these are the nike air version) and DC skate shoes. What do we think of these for me? What about color on the cons? Practicality may be an issue here.
