I like all the shoes, including the flats! The suit reads a little "John Travolta - Saturday Night Fever". I love the blouse and the crops though!

For those that love the flats, I'm realizing that I really feel most comfortable at work in at least a 1" heel. It can be a blocky, very stable heel that's easy to move and walk in, but I find that I don't wear my very flat shoes for work. I don't have any pants that I can wear with a true flat and I'm having a hard time liking me in flats and a skirt. Since I don't see myself reaching for these for more casual days, I don't see them fitting in for my style right now even though they are fun and different. I'm going to keep searching for a dressy black "flat" that has a little bit of a heel (how's that for sounding conflicted!)

I like #1 the best. #2 looks a bit big on you in the heel (although I have a pet peeve about heel gaps), although the color is really nice. #3 is nothing special to me--something about the combination of pointy toe and stark black/white contrast.

I vote keep the copper. I love the blue too, but I see what you mean about style. So I'm on the fence and if you must keep one, I vote for the copper ones. The pointy flat ones are cute, but how comfortable are you wearing them? They seem very flat, and I wonder about not having heel support. I do have a pair of pointy flat ones myself which I never wear for this reason precisely.

Christy I adore the flats. I really think you should keep:). The copper ones are "nice" and practical but they don't excite me. Inalso really like the navy ones. I hear you on the suit but it does look great.

The black and white flats look the most fashion-forward to me so for that reason I hope you keep them. It's a way to add interest to work outfits, I think.

The other two shoes look fine but they are not interesting the way the flats are. I would say they are serviceable and attractive and if they feel good, keep them.

ETA -- just went and read all of the replies, I'm disappointed you are returning the flats, as I completely agree with Angie, they are divine!

I really like the first shoes. I like the navy ones as well but they seem like they are missing that little something extra that your accessories usually have. I guess it would depend how you style them. I think I would like the flats if only the toes were showing with trousers, but with a skirt I don't love the style. The suit looks really cute on you, and I actually especially like the cropped pant with those cute heels you are wearing, but if you are not feeling comfortable in the bright white, then the suit doesn't make sense.

Christy - If you're looking for comfy navy pumps, I recently purchased these VanEli pumps from Endless.com and they are very comfortable. They are a mottled patent and are real leather. I do like your copper shoes. I'm not fond of the flats, but perhaps they work well with pieces in your wardrobe. Thanks for sharing your purchases.

Angie, I have to admit I didn't even try on the peplum. It felt a little sweet to me. When I return the white suit, I might give it a shot. Loved the fabric though and wished they had it in a jacket with a simpler cut!

Thank you everyone for your thoughts, especially on the shoes. I'm *so* glad the shoes aren't frumpy! The flats are going back. The copper ones are probably staying and I'm putting the navy into my waiting zone.

I also like the navy shoes. You do look great in the white suit, but I can understand why that would be a hard look to commit to! You should really only keep shoes that are very comfortable though. At least for me, however they start out it is downhill from there.

I like the first pair the best! And suit #4 looks good on you with the longer pants. I know what you mean about white jackets though. I've learned to wear white jeans, but with a white suit I'd always be paranoid about spilling on myself (and I don't even drink coffee or anything). Also I have kind of an aversion to white jackets because they remind me of lab coats. I tried on the white Trina Turk safari jacket at BR and didn't get it because, well, it looked too clinical. If you don't like it, I would return the suit. Would you feel more comfortable wearing it if it was a different color?

I like all the shoes but ADORE the navy. Navy shoes are not as easily found as other colors so these are super!
Incidentally, I LOVE the white suit on you! But believe me, I totally understand what you are saying. I don't own anything in white because its such an impractical color and while I love it on other people, any time I wear white, I manage to stain it somehow. Especially since where I live it rains at the drop of a hat as well-rain and white don't mix well

Well, I really like the blue shoes! The copper ones are fine, very professional looking, so if you need them for work wear I think they're good.

I think the suite is OK, although I agree with your reasons for returning. I am not sure I like this length of jacket on you...not bad, but I think it could be better. FWIW you could break this suit up quite easily...but sounds like you're returning it anyway!

I have my eye out for a nice tweed suit where I can break it up and wear the jacket with jeans or the skirt or trousers with another solid colored jacket. (-:

Well. FWIW. I am getting a white suit (it's on the way), I live in Seattle, and I fully intend to wear it as a suit and not separates :). I don't fancy the cropped pants version (the length of the pants and the style with the long jacket), but I love the long leg version. I LOVE suits!! I think you look fabulous, Christy!!! Granted it's a BRIGHT suit, and you are only just coming around to brights. Plus, I want you to feel comfortable at work. So I vote return.

The flats aren't working for me for you, not sure why. And I have to say that I REALLY like the cropped pant white suit, but yes I get what you're saying. Can you just keep the trousers?

Hi all! My shoe search continues *sigh*. I seem to be having far more difficulty finding shoes that fit than I've ever had in the past. And if they fit, I feel like they are bordering on frumpy. Are any of these keepers? (I just realized that I didn't really take any side shots that show the heels!).

1. Sofft copper heels: I don't have any dark brown shoes to wear with brown or navy. These are pretty comfortable - I ordered them in wide (which I've never had to do before!).

2. Nine West navy suede heels: I don't have any navy shoes and seem to be adding quite a bit of navy to my wardrobe lately. Again, pretty comfortable.

3. Nine West black with white trim flats: Yes flats!!! These are too big so I'd have to size down but I'm not all that crazy about them so I'm pretty sure they are going back.

4/5: Bonus shots of my misadventures with trying a white suit. It's going back. This is the Banana Republic jacket with straight leg pants (#4) and crops (#5). I just don't think I can feel comfortable in this. It just feels too....well, too white! Not only that, but I live in Seattle. Where it rains a lot. What I really need is a new suit that can be worn year-round. But it was fun to give it a shot!
