The sleeves do seem a bit loose and long which to me throws off the look. I am not sure how the XS would compare -- I can see the designer keeping the sleeves essentially the same and shortening the torso (It's happened to me too many times to count). I do think if you're invested in this jacket you should give the XS a try.<br />Overall I think it depends on the kind of fit you want and how this jacket fulfills your style goals. Whether this is the proportion you want to go with is another question... Seems most people think more figure flattery is better in this case.
