I'm glad you're keeping it Astrid and if I needed another down coat, this is the one I would go for. I love the pop of citron with the grey.

I love the silver one. They were out of that one last year when I bought my short version. I hope you enjoy it. It's a very stylish warm coat.

Thanks Glory! That's true.

Thanks Caro! I think you're right, I wouldn't be comfortable in the pink.

Thanks Claire! You're right, a fit like that is hard to find.

Thanks E! The color really isn't bad, just not the ideal one. And I'm always going to wear a scarf when it's cold enough for this coat in any case.

Thanks Sveta!

Thanks Una! I've decided to keep the grey. I'm comfortable wearing it and I NEED a coat.

Oh, Astrid! Any decision? I would like the grey to be more slate than it is. It's a perfect fit either way, and honestly I prefer the pink on you objectively despite preferring silver in general. But you are the one who will wear it... You really can't go wrong.

Chiming in late, but I vote for the grey, even though I know how frustrating it is when a shade is off. Judging from the pic in 6 though I don't think it'll give you too many problems; I think I'm a soft summer too, and the greys that give me the hardest time are the lighter, brighter, more yellow ones. I do love blue greys the best, so I understand your disappointment, but the cut of that coat is so flattering on you! You'd regret giving it up. :)

Good discussion going on here, Astrid. I think the grey is a wonderful choice. You won't feel as conspicuous as you would in the pink. Also, I think the grey coat will have more longevity (as in, you won't tire of the color quickly). Call it taupe if that makes you feel any better; I think it looks nice on you! I know how hard it is for you to find good coats that fit you. The fit on this really is stellar, which we all know is nigh impossible for anyone, petite or not, in a puffer.

I love the pink as well but I think the grey is wonderful. You can add a scarf as you wish in any colour. Not saying that one must fit in, but when I lived in Germany I found women wore mostly neutrals as outerwear, similar to France.

Thanks Ornella! And you're right, the grey is more of a no brainer. I can always get another one in a happy (and not so loud) color later on.

Astrid, I vote keep the grey one. It looks great (they both do) but you are more of a grey coat girl and it would give you no headaches when it comes to mixing it with your existing wardrobe.

A good coat is hard to find and your winters are not mild.

I say, go gray and have fun with colors in your hats and scarves. It looks great. Though the pink is very do-able, it's the first thing you notice, whereas with the gray I notice your own attractive hair color and coloring. And you still can wear lots of bright colors in your clothing-sweaters and such.

Thanks Amy! I'm going to ask my friends in case they're online this evening what they think about it, but generally the grey one would fit much better into local (student) style. Colors are mostly dark and neutral and the style is mostly casual, relaxed and more minimal than maximal. Even with the not so bright colors I wear I'm often one of the more colorful people in a room.

Thanks for the input, Jorja!

Thanks Brenda! The argument that I'm still covering my basics is a good one. I also agree that I'm not one for loud colors usually, you just have to take a look at my Pinterest style board to see that's true.

I haven't read all the other opinions but I really like the gray. The pink flatters you but is really LOUD and I don't think it fits your style very well. Especially since you are still trying to get the basics of your coat wardrobe covered, I would stick to neutral colors and add something bright and fun later if you can and want to do so.

The fit is perfect and I love you in pink! Several years ago I bought a Landsend puffer jacket in pink in a similar style. I thought it was too bright a pink and was going to return it except DH loved the color on me. He usually never comments without being asked. Well, to make a long story short, I kept it and all I got was compliments and questions as to where I bought it. The color made me happy during our long gray winter. I was sad to see it go!

Thanks Jude! It's right that I'm not over the moon with the grey, but I think it will be versatile and like Gaylene said, I might find it more to my liking after wearing it a bit. I'm definitely more comfortable in the grey. I did place some of my things next to it and you're right, it seems to work well with my things. Not sure why the bag doesn't work, but it clashes to my eye. That's not a big problem though because I'm often taking my backpack anyway and the new tote that I will mostly use on the other days does work.

Thanks Carambola! I never thought I could look so good in a puffer either. The cut is magical.

The fit is so perfect on you! What a flattering puffer. I think both colors look lovely on you and you should go with whichever you feel most comfortable in. The grey could be incredibly versatile and the pink could be a great pick-me-up in the dreary winter, but only if it does not make you feel too self conscious.

I don't want to talk you into keeping this coat, especially since you don't seem to be excited about the color, but I can assure you that you look good in it! A slightly warmed up grey should be great for soft summers, while a silvery grey could easily be too cool for them. I definitely prefer the grey one to the one in bright pink. It is a muted, but rather light color, and one that should work with most of your other colors (why not with cognac?). Think about it a little more. There's no need to rush anything

That's too funny! Although I think you're right, switching back and forth between the pictures. Might be the longer leg line wearing the black pants.

The grey really looks smashing, positively smashing.

I find the dark raspberry... gnome-making. You look shorter in it to me for some reason... and I wonder if a darker grey would have the same gnome effect.
