Thanks for your words of wisdom Angie and everyone. Needing a better fit in the shoulders, neck line and bust makes sense. I have another dolmain sleeve in my cupboard that I'll show you when I get a chance. It possibly has similar issues though. And thanks Charmain, I'll check out that link!

Agreed I'm not keen on the fit on neck and shoulders too. It may have looked better untucked as well. I vote return.

Love the pairing of the stripes with the bright skirt!

I would, however, return the top. I do not think it is the sleeves that are of concern, rather the fit through the bust and shoulders.

There's no rule that says pears can't wear dolman sleeves! I had figure flattery concerns too (I'm an IT) when I bought my first and only dolman sleeve item. If you haven't seen it, Angie had some suggestions on how to find the right dolman sleeve top in her post here (scroll down to her comment, where she specifically addresses pears).

It's possible for this particular top to work for you, but in this particular outfit it's not draping well. I can't tell whether it's because of the top's fabrication or because it's tucked into a structured pencil skirt or something else. How do you feel when you wear it over jeans? Over the pencil skirt, untucked?

I do love me some stripes, and that blue/white combo is so fresh and springy!

I vote return. The neckline is too low and wide and you are loosing structure because of it. Try this same style with a higher neck and you'll see quite a difference.

Great skirt and fun sandals!

I'm struggling with the current change in silhouettes to looser and more voluminous clothes. My body shape is pear with current secondary apple tendencies following my little bubba:). In the past, when I am minus the apple part, I always go for fitted tops and structured bottoms. So I guess my question is, as a pear can I wear batwing tops and does this one work? Keep or return?
