Well, I love it - I have a very soft item just like this and it does the same because the two front swaths of fabric create a double layer that isn't quite lined up. It doesn't bother me at all. But if it bothers you, you won't wear it. Looks great open too. And this is a good photo angle!

I don't think sizing down would help. It's slightly stretched across my middle which is why I was thinking of sizing up - however that would probably make the top part too big. I think Firecracker might be right and the fabric is just too thin/clingy. I'm wearing a tight-fitting tank underneath so about as minimal as I can go and it looks lumpy. I think sending this back and looking for something similar is probably the right choice.

Jenn - the brand is Market & Spruce.

I have a cardigan like that. I like the drape and find this style really useful. I don't think you need to size up. It's supposed to drape.

It's a great style.

I wonder if you would be pulling to adjust it because it feels bulky

I like this style jacket. I wouldn't size up as it would just add more fabric. I believe it is meant to drape at the front. If anything it appears to be a tad big on you??

I like the idea of this style, but I'm wondering about the fabric. In the side view, photo 5, it may be that you are twisting to take the photo, but it looks like the fabric is twisted, as if it may be a little thin or clingy for wearing over another knit top. If that's the case, I might try to find something similar in a fabric that behaves better (maybe a more substantial fabric?).

Any chance the brand name on this is "Sweet Rain"? It looks like one I got from Modcloth a while back.

If it's the same one, I recommend returning, as it's really prone to pilling.

I echo Ummlila but I do like the idea of it. It sounds like you got at least one great item, and at least they managed to send stuff that fits; I have heard the selections get batter over time.

There were 5 items in the box:

There was a scarf that is very similar to a scarf I already own so it's going back.

A pair of black flecked skinnies that's similar to a pair of black skinnies I already own. I don't think they are different enough from my other pair and I would be splitting wears so those are going back.

A really pretty cobalt blue blouse that I'm keeping.

A dark teal dolman sleeve top that I'm on the fence about. It fits nice but it seems plain for the cost ($58).

And then this cardigan which I really like the idea of but I'm not sure about the fit.

Generally I liked everything in the box and it all fit me.

I am not keen on all that fabric pooling at the front when it's closed. I don't think sizing up would help matters. I like the vertical lines and slight asymmetry when it's open.

Was there anything else interesting in the box? They do send a couple things at a time, as I recall.

My sister gave me a gift certificate to Stitch Fix for my birthday and the first box came today. This cardigan is interesting and would work for casual weekends and potentially casual work outfits. However I'm not sure of the fit. I feel it looks a little lumpy when closed. Am I imagining things? Would sizing up help?

I'm not good at selfies so I hope you can see what's going on in these photos.
