I think that chunkier heels are more cutting edge, but I still see lots and lots of slimmer heels around. The slimmer heels are just less attention getting, which is different from being dated. The first two look most current - I have seen a lot of burgundy in stores and I think the straps across the ankle might be nice with shorter ankle pants to "close the gap".
