Thanks, everyone, for your input. It sounds like the skirt isn't dated, which is good news because I really like it. I just need to be careful with the styling.

I think it works in 2 and 3. The top in 1 looks a little overwhelming with the skirt, IMHO.

#3 is fabulous--it has a completely different feel from outfits 1 and 2. I like 4 somewhat, but not nearly as much as 3. But I don't think you need to get rid of it. I think working with proportions and wearing a slimming top will be of great help here.

I am very short and just discovered the other day that when I wear maxis, I need to wear them almost all the way to the floor--kind of how Angie likes her bootcut pants. That really cuts down on the stumpifying factor, if that's something you're concerned about. I found that when I wore heels with them, I had to wear the elastic waistband of the skirt lower, closer to my hips than my waist. Don't know if you have that option with this skirt. But that is something else you can maybe play with.

Love, love, love the color and pattern, too.
I would really want to find a way to style it, so that I could think of it as a classic and not worry about trend, but I'm a magpie.
I really like how you styled it in #3 & #4. The outfits have a casual, soft, vacation, bohemian vibe ... can't find the right words.
With the crisp lines of the sweater in #1 & #2, I think the skirt would go if it were shorter. Let's see what others think.

Proportion, not volume is the issue for me with #1. It's a half and half ratio and my eye is wanting to see either the top or the bottom shorter.
That's why #2&#3 work; they also showcase the skirt, ie, if you are going to wear a maxi then flaunt it.

I like it in 4 for summer. I have no clue on dated vs trend - you would shudder if you saw my closet.

I LOVE looks three and four. I don't know about number 1/2 - the sweater looks really long to me - but I'm not sure, because I just spent the last 90 minutes looking at Fall/Winter 2014 fashion photos, and they seem to be going oversized on everything.

You need a more discerning opinion of trendy than mine, for sure! But seriously, I love 3 & 4!

I've had this skirt forever and I'm wondering if it's dated. I really like the colors and pattern although I don't wear it that often. What do you think -should it stay or go?

#1/2 - With oversized sweater. This may not have worked. Too much volume?
#3 - Older photo (look long hair!) with slimmer sweater.
#4 - Summer look with white tee.
