I have a friend who names all of her pets after regular people names. Keith and Steven, the hairless bonded cats.&nbsp; Nadine the dog. Wilbur the grey cat.</p> <p>My boys are voting to keep Simba. I have had this little song in my head about "Simba the white lion" - turns out it was a 1960's cartoon called "<i>Kimba</i> the white lion" - anyone remember it? There was a 25 yr intellectual property dispute with Disney related to it....Now I have a couple of votes for Kimba, even though this will not be a white lion.</p> <p>For some reason the name Ralphie is calling out to me with this little guy - like in Christmas Story? I volunteer with Montgomery County (MD) Community Cat Coalition. Today, when transporting some ferals to a spay/neuter clinic in Davidsonville, I got to meet a litter of 6 kitties that will be available soon and got to snuggle with 3 5-week bottle babies (they have vision issues but were so very adventurous). Been busy with new job since the beginning of April </p> <p>After our devastating loss in March, we are ready to bring another kitty into our family. We have been applying with various rescue orgs, and visited some little ones at a home this week. It’s hard now, with most animals fostered and not in one place where you can play with 10 kittens and see who chooses you.<br /> Here are photos of a few available cats in a 90 mile radius of where we live. I want them all but we will have to pick.<br /> Enjoy the cuteness! Will update with news. Most likely: #1 - we've been approved but not met him, or # 4 (Simba! so cute)- visiting tomorrow. I adored the one I'm holding but he is not in a proper foster home, and the situation is sketchy.</p> <p>If anyone is thinking about getting a kitten, now is a great time. Lots out there who need loving homes. In fact, the bonded pair in #3 are truly precious and won't be separated. They are in Edgewood, MD - if any Fabbers are interested and in the area let me know. Dude and Donnie!</p> <p>UPDATE: we chose Simba! Pics 5-7. He will come home with us on Friday. This week is going so slowly....We visited his foster home and played with him for an hour last weekend. Big energy, and super sweet. We can’t wait! (We will probably pick a new name- working on it - see my comments further down - I'm taking ideas!) </p>
