Not everyone gains weight evenly. She might just not gain in their face and arms. I have scrawny chicken arms but my torso is pretty "padded" in comparison. I'd hate to be described by a group of strangers as "disproportionate" even though I guess it's probably true.</p> <p>I assure you that every picture you see in advertising, catalogs, and other media is touched up or enhanced in some way. There is never any such thing as letting a raw photo go to press. However, I read an interview with Crystal Renn (the currently most famous and highest earning plus-size model in fashion). She said that companies very frequently photoshop her pictures to make her look bigger and more plus sized than she is. The best I can figure is that they took a size 8 or 10 gal and stretched out the body of the picture to make her appear plus size. Look at her face and arms- perfecltly slim. I'll bet my firstborn (umm, make that second born that girl is no where near plus size. </p>
