According to Kibbe my head ( face) and body do not work together, they belong to different Kibbe types. That’s why Kibbe will not work for me or many many others. You just can’t arbitrarily designate types, when many will not fit. My face is soft and rounded. My body is straight and angular.
Kibbe only is helpful if you fit a certain type. If you don’t , it’s ok just forget about trying to fit into a caregory.

Following because I'm also interested in Kibbe types but have absolutely no idea of my own type.

It's interesting to see the analyses from people much more knowledgeable about this than me! @ah28 Do you agree with any of the above opinions, or do any of them strike your fancy the most?

I have enjoyed doing some Kibbe research myself.

I think you could be a Soft Dramatic or maybe a Dramatic Classic or maybe a Flamboyant Natural.

I do not think you are Gamine, and I don't think you are in the Romantic sector either, (nor a soft classic, classic, natural or soft natural). To me you don't have the broader features of the Naturals, you have a more delicate frame but not a pure Dramatic who I think would be a bit more yang. If I was picking one I would choose Soft Dramatic.

There is lots of information out there on Pinterest.

I take it fairly broadly myself and am not sure if I am a Flamboyant Natural or Natural (I am confident I am one of the two). I am a bit taller but my frame is bigger than yours and my face wider/blunter.

I think the Flamboyant designation refers to Dramatic RL.
I'm thinking Flamboyant Natural- because your bone structure is long and lean (D) but your figure looks straighter even with weight gain (N). I'm not a Kibbe expert by any means though!

Just off the cuff, I’m gonna throw flamboyant dramatic out there. I think body type, torso, is more important than face and hands with Kibbe. I also worked backwards to my answer in part, reading the clothing-construction advice to confirm.

@Staysfit Yes it's quite the rabbit hole and I when looking at the body types I find it logical and straight forward but when trying to apply it to my own silhouette, I get completely lost. I will post photos when I am able to.
My biggest challange is that I find it very hard to balance the appropriate fit on my body. On one hand I have very slim legs and arms, neck and shoulders. On the other I have a larger bust which makes the vertical straight lines, uber tailored clothes very hard to find, and difficult to pull off if I do find them. I also have a bit of a tummy so pants normally hang too large on the thighs if sized right on the waist or way too tight on the waist if sized well on the thighs.
I live in Canada so 4 season dressing is a must. Summer is the easiest to dress in, winter the most challanging. I do have a few outfits that I think I managed to pull off. One is a structured peplum styled top with slim fit white trousers, another is a straight shell top with white shorts. But these are far and few!

Welcome to the forum.

There was a time when I explored and tried to figure out my "Kibbe-gory". I read his book, perused his Facebook page and blog, viewed pictures on Pinterest, and also read blogs and watched videos created by others who were interested in his system. I received some helpful feedback from members of YLF. Even so, I believe you will find that people either are confident and have a clear Kibbe category, or they have a result like mine: I found Kibbe's system much less helpful than expected in sorting out how best to complement my features. I am glad that I was able to learn about Yin and Yang, and to understand how to make better use these concepts when thinking about my personal style choices, but could not settle on a single Kibbe category and therefore, I left Kibbe behind.

More helpful to me than Kibbe have been: 1.Direct feedback from YLF on outfits I have posted. 2. The book "The Triumph of Individual Style" recommended to me by Suz an active and generously kind member of YLF. 3. A system called Align created by Florentina Mossou, which also makes use of Yin and Yang, but in my opinion takes everything a step further than Kibbe. Her system is logical, easy to understand and accessible, but it is fairly new. I paid for a private consultation, which was well worth the cost because it has since prevented purchasing errors. I am able to easily recognize the items that will most likely complement my features, and understand why details which may seem similar have a very positive or negative impact on the way certain items look when I wear them. 4. Angie has impeccable taste and fashion sense. I have learned more from reading her blog posts than from any other method.

The bottom line is that I have not seen a magic formula work for anyone here on the Forum. It's a bit like chasing the Holy Grail. Style is not only about rules and categories but also knowing how and when to break them.

Recently I started learning about the Kibbe 13 body types in hope that I can buy clothes that suit/flatter me. However I am unsure of where I fall among the 13 types.
I'm 5'7, have long and slim arms and legs, large hands and feet. My face, in my opinion, looks like it has sharp and long lines.
At first I thought I was a dramatic but my torso is pretty fleshy. I have a large bust and tend to gain all my weight in the stomach/bust area.
I have attached some photos. I would be grateful if anyone has any feedback on the body type I would fall under.
Thank you.
