One had ordered the silk dress and matching pants, so I won't be the only Kenzo groupie in my circle.</p> <p>We've been talking here about how/why the designer collaborations turn out so well when the rest of H&amp;M can be frustrating. My friend theorised that the extra quality comes not from Stockholm but from the designer brands, who take the opportunity to bring a quality product to the wider market.&nbsp;<b></p> <p>bj1111</b>: yeah you're right, it bugs me too. And they've done a very nice job with the design on the pattern pieces - the stripes even line up on the seams.&nbsp;I'm thoroughly impressed. </p> <p><b>tulle:</b> that's a bummer. Shopping on an overloaded website is always frustrating. But it's OK. I'd settled on the (yes, less maximal than most!) blue-on-black patterned silk dress, as probably the one item I could pull off.&nbsp; Got up early to get online and place my order, waited out the website delay, finally had the dress in my bag--but couldn't complete the order, due to postal system delivery problems and some other mysterious obstruction.&nbsp; I could have pursued it by phone, I guess, but realized that it just didn't matter that much to me.&nbsp; Possibly because the online photos didn't show the pieces on models, I couldn't tell for sure how the dress would drape. I got there about an hour before it opened and was in with the third round about half and hour after. Their Kenzo collection is full of maximal goodness - many things I'd love to have but can't justify, like the reversible down jacket (ok, maybe not with that massive logo) or the embellished knitwear.&nbsp;</p> <p>However, I've had to ditch a pair of woolly pants lately so I'm pondering joining the queue on Thursday morning to grab a pair of pink winter pyjamas. </p> <p>Anyone else stalking anything? </p> <p><b>ETA:</b> Dropped by the shop this evening on my way home and grabbed the very last pair. The label says S but there's nothing small about these pants. They run large and long, a fine fit for my US 8-10 bum and brushing the floor on a 32" leg. The jacquard knit is gorgeous: thick, soft and cozy.&nbsp;Bowie-fabulous with a heel and trophy blazer, fully awesome with a fancy sweatshirt and kawaii sneakers&nbsp;that scream I've been to Harajuku and can't adult.&nbsp;</p> <p>Haven't cut tags yet but a keeper for sure. Expect WIW's.</p>
