You guys got several years worth at once with the Vortex. Last year we got a little snow in November and then none the rest of the season. It was scary because our drinking water comes from snow melt in the mountains. When they did their final snow survey in April, there wasn't any snow on the ground at all, just bare ground. I am admiring your method for tracking purchases. I may try this but I still think i will be pasting receipts into my calendar I have to use it for something! I still get free calendars that I feel obligated to put to use somehow! Back to the boots, very nice! They look warm and most importantly stable! The snow looks pretty. We hardly have any, yet...... I purchased some Sorel Tivoli II boots for this winter. I struggled with them for the first week because they were uncomfortably tight around my ankle bones but I discovered that putting Superfeet arch support inserts lifted my foot just enough to bring my ankles to a point where the padding wasn't creating too much pressure. In your photo library click on the tiny icon which looks like a box with an arrow coming out the top. Then click on the photo. There should be a blue dot in the corner. Then click on copy in the bottom row of choices. Then go to notes and paste it. On my old phone I used to get asked the size of the photo. If I could do that I could make the photo little. I'm still looking into that. I use an excel sheet and track and sum up on monthly basis, in the cell comments I includ ea wee description of the items. I finally tried them but I just don't think they fit me that well so I'm looking for other options. As for keeping track of purchases, I started doing that a while ago but never kept it up so I deleted it. For me I find it most helpful to keep a list of items I need/want to purchase and that keeps me mostly on track from the start. I also use the Notes App on my phone/iPad/Mac to keep my list. New snow boots! I want to toss the Sorels that nearly killed me yesterday (ok, just killed my elbow), and my other snow boots are ancient (the sole is worn and the leather is stiff). Anyway I bought Sorel Joan of Arctic from REI. As a member I get 10 percent back, plus I was able to use a special promo dividend from a Yeti ice chest I bought in December. As to keeping track: In Notes on my ipad, I just jotted down the price and was able to paste a picture of the purchase. BTW, it's snowing again this morning!
