I thought you were going to say, "You can keep your crops... I have discovered full length pants and I'm not looking back" Boy am I glad I was wrong. There is nothing so practical as crops for a Canadian winter. Anything that doesn't drag in the slush when I'm outdoors is sure to reveal my ankles when I sit down indoors, so I'm glad that socks are going to be an accepted part of the picture too. I recently discovered that men's crew socks are long enough to prevent a skin gap when I'm wearing true crops.</p> <p>You sure bring back memories too. When I was in med school I walked through the Eaton Centre twice a day, between my apartment and the hospital, and loved seeing the new season's styles and the Christmas decorations coming out. Sterling - nothing athletic about it! Just a fast paced walk. My office is in a tower in the insurance/banking/financial district and I need 10-15 min. in order to reach the interesting shopping areas. Once I stopped getting lost, I figured out how far I could venture out before I had to turn around. Still, by the time I get back, I'm usually pretty warm! Guess what they’re wearing? </p> <p>Cropped trousers<br /> Released hem jeans (a lot of black)<br /> Velvet (or velour) jackets, tops, dresses<br /> Brocade<br /> Dark florals<br /> Statement footwear (and satin, velvet, brocade, lame)<br /> Socks</p> <p>I hacked my black jeans summer of ‘15 and have been wearing them steady since. Now I’m seeing identical on the street! I get the feeling shoes are going narrow toe again, but with the block heel, and ankle strap, and even some high vamp loafer styling. Angie can correct me if I’m wrong. </p>
