I find some sneaker laces to be rather “sticky” — they don’t loosen and tighten very easily, so it can be more work to get feet in and out of them. I think switching to a more slippery style of laces could help that, but sometimes it’s also the nature of the grommets too. I do accept that some lace-up shoes and sneakers simply take a moment longer to put on, to tighten and loosen laces. Not a deal breaker to me. I do have a problem with many laces being too long after I tie them (goes with the territory of low volume feet and having to lace the shoes more tightly).
