Pair with very polished pieces to offset the distressing. Shoes are, at the very least, a very good stopgap and are pretty cute to boot. The chunky heel, snakeskin, and metallic all give them "Rae enough" qualities that they could certainly work for you for a while. Then after wearing for a bit you can determine whether they deserve to stay, to be upgraded, or look for another kind of shoe. I kind of love those little upturned toes, I also find them very comfortable! I often look at (but ultimately pass over) this style because I can't wear "real" heels, yet true flats are also problematic. This type of shoe seems ideal but I always wonder if it is frumpy especially with my "emerging" warddrobe (emerging from frump to better things like an emerging nation, haha). However, as worn by rae here I think they look good! They read as flats from the front but probably look better than flats would with the midi skirt. The materials seem very rae. Since you already own them, I would keep.<br /> But I am definitely on team comfort/practical shoe, I just try to keep them as attractive as possible... </p>
