My remark was because you just didn't sound happy with it. I've kept so many things that looked OK to me but not fab and I'm trying to learn to not do that anymore.

Now that you have decided to keep have fun putting it in outfits. Have you tried it belted or experimented with scarves?

OK I'm still undecided LOL

Yes, I was looking for tops to wear with my shorts, but this has come along, and it is perfect for jeans...

So, considering that I've been looking for so long for something like this, and it is perfect for Autumn/Winter/Spring/nights in Summer over jeans, I'm really thinking that I will keep it.

And keep searching for tops suitable to be worn with shorts!

I love the blouse I think it looks good untucked over jeans. I think the fit is great I would keep. It is a good casual white shirt to wear over skinny jeans or leggings

It's one of things where is looks OK as a casual top but it doesn't sing (as Tim Gunn would put it). Since you can take it back you might as well keep looking for one you absolutely love.

Yep, I agree that you can probably do better for your fab style.

FWIW, I have a couple of tops with the pin tucks at the top of the shirt and I have found that they don't tuck in sleek because of the extra volume after the pin tucks.

It could work better untucked with clamdiggers?? But I still think you can do better

OK I think I've just answered my own question... I'm not a fan of it over shorts (Ignore the state of the shorts though - I pulled both pairs out of the washing pile to try them on LOL)

Thanks for reminding me of the volume + volume thing girls - I'm not at all used to flowy tops seeing as I'm not one to wear sleek bottoms, so need to get that rule stuck in my head!!

Oh well, I shall return it when I'm next in town... and I'm off to bed now feeling just a little bit frustrated!

Loving the input so far girls!! Thanks!!

Size - this is the smallest it comes, so no downsizing, but it would be too tight across shoulders and bust if I did anyway.

Tucking in - totally agree - needs to be tucked in firmer! I should have looked in a mirror before I took the photo LOL

Casualness - I am mainly concerned about casual wear at this stage - I so rarely need anything dressier - if its dressier than casual, it means I'm going all out for the races. I also have been finding that collared clothes annoy me because I can't ever get the collar to sit perfectly the way I want it all day - but that could be something I'm doing wrong!

Partners - Well, I initially thought of this with jeans - normal as I have on, and also skinnies for cooler times, and shorts/clams for summer, and tucked into a denim skirt (have to make one!) or my other skirts. BUT, I think I need to take some pics of it on with my shorts in case they are a bit too voluminous for it... they may be... TBA!

Usage - seeing as its a lightweight cotton, I can see me getting a lot of wear out of it as its light enough to not be too hot if I'm out in the sun, and it would be perfect for me on days when I need to go into a/c - going into a/c is my biggest summer nightmare because I freeze LOL

I've been searching for the perfect white top for years now to be honest, and this is the first one I've ever actually bought because it fit so well - so there is every chance I'm deluding myself! And of course, I think below my waist I'm still a pear, but above it I am developing a very appley belly so trying to not wear anything too clingy!

Looking forward to more opinions and I'll try and get some pics with shorts for you all!

Oh, I think it is a nice shirt Theresa. It certainly fits you really well across the shoulders and looks cool and summery and fresh. I definately prefer it with the sleeves rolled up slightly. I also agree with Tara that if you are going to wear it tucked in, that you need to take some of the volume out of the front by tucking it a bit firmer.

The biggest question I have that it seems like the kind of top which because it is full, needs to be worn with a sleeker bottom half and the first thing that comes to mind are skinnies. Will you get lots of wear out of it given we are heading into summer? (Well, meant to be, anyway!)

I like it, but agree you could even go down a size (or would it the not fit in shoulders and bust?)

I also think the cut of the top is quite casual - is that what you're going for? I find that shirts with collars can be dressed up or down whereas this kind of collar is a much more casual look overall.

With the tucking, I think tucking it closer and not letting it billow out over the waistband would be more flattering. You would then need to belt the jeans. I think you have lovely hips and (not to be crude) a nice bum (I know because I saw it in person! Clothed of course :-P) so don't be too worried about covering it up ;-)

I could see a collared white button down worn at full length over jeans, tucked into skirts, tucked into jeans, and worn open over light cotton camis and tanks in summer. What do you think of looking for a collared one?

Nice blouse. I like it tucked into the jeans on you. You could even go a size smaller, but I have no idea and am a bit obsessed with tight button downs at the moment.

OK I need absolute honesty because if this shirt is anything less than fabulous it is going back!! (I've become even more ruthless than before LOL)

I've been on the hunt for woven, natural fibre tops to wear with shorts, jeans and skirts over summer. I've also had a white button through on my list forever.

So, today I found this one. It fits me really well through the shoulder and bust which is where I usually have issues, and courtesy of the pintucks it floats over my ever-expanding belly (no, I'm not preggers - I've just finally reached "normal" weight rather than being "underweight" and its all gone to belly and thighs!!! I've put on around 5.5kgs/12lb in 3-4 months!!!))

Without further ado... here it is... what do you think??? The tucked in pic was just to see if it would work - I think perhaps it would tuck better into a skirt than jeans...
