I think the cognac is beautiful and rich but will still pair nicely with creams, ect. I don't think it makes them too heavy. I think you'd have gotten more wear out of the lighter toned ones, but these are pretty fun. The box says Chestnut and Ivory. Definitely chestnut, cooler than cognac. They are well made, well cushioned and comfortable.<br /> I wear mostly cool colors, lots of black and grey, though in the summer I do wear ivory and cream. </p>
