I think it's fair to say they are something I'd wear whether 'in vogue' or not. Will you? I don't think they would work for summer (too heavy) but I disagreee that they can't work for winter. I have some other shearling lined mule/clogs that have the open back that I wear in the snow in Tahoe, as long as it's not more than a few fresh inches on the ground. I have clogs I purchased in 2004 with a bit of fur on them and I still saw this style this year. Plus Dansko clogs provide comfort. The only issue I have with clogs is that when I wear bootcut jeans and flat clogs, the hem gets caught under my foot.
