Thanks everybody!

Looks like everybody likes the Quicksilver, and I feel great in it! I'll keep it! Lynne, I''m not sure if it fits my style 'cuz I'm not sure yet what my style IS!

The Gap doublebreasted is mixed, and honestly, I feel sloppy in it when it's open. Too much fabric hanging about. So it goes back, even though it was seriously on sale!

And the BR is already paid for, so I'm keeping it as a more formal option while I look for something more fab. More fitted and longer lapels.

Thanks so much for the advice.

I like #1 as a casual jacket. The double-breasted jacket would need to stay buttoned, so that limits its usability a bit. The BR jacket looks OK but I think something with longer lapels would look better on you.

I love the first jacket. I tried on the second one at Gap and really liked it, but felt it skewed low on my frame with the cut - I didn't mind that but thought it might be hard to wear? The BR jacket looks like a possible workhorse to me!

Hello Isis, the Quicksilver jacket is interesting and fun styled casually; to me it doesn't really work as a work suit due to its fabric (looks like a cotton knit). I would wear it withe jeans as shown in one of the pictures on the website.

The Gap jacket looks good buttoned up and fits you well but it's quirky -- I would probably not wear it too often because of the way it looks unbuttoned. Therefore I would return it.

I would keep the BR jacket if it's useful for work and of good quality. Do you ever wear it?

Love Quicksilver, very fun and different. Also really like Gap blazer, but definitely closed - the neckline is low enough though that it will show off any shirt. BR one looks to be a little big in the shoulders to me and maybe a little shapeless compared to the others.

I love the first one, also really like the second (I prefer it open--I think the white v-neck is mucking up the looks of it open--with the right underlayer it will look cool), not so keen on the last one.

I like quicksilver open, double-breasted closed, and would let BR go, unless you need three jackets.

Casting my vote for #1 as well - it looks *fab* and fits you well!

The double breasted is a great concept, but as modgrl said above, it would always need to stay buttoned - and that would make it dressy. The third is "okay" - unless you have a gap in your wardrobe for a blazer, if I were you I'd save the money for something more exciting. :o)

I'm a sucker for zippers so I love #1 but it also fits you best in the shoulders and arm so I think it goes beyond my own bias :)

EDIT: just saw that Lynne said the exact same thing lol!

Love the quicksilver jacket! The double breasted one should always stay buttoned, and then it's a much more business formal look than the quicksilver one.

Isis, I love both the new ones! The first is very curvy and femine; I'm not sure how that sits with your regular style? The second is smart and business like, and I suspect might be more your usual style - hunch, not fact! If I had to vote on my preference I would say the Gap first, and the quicksilver second if it fits with your style, and the the BR third. And how many can you use? Only you can say...you're working, right? So maybe 3 is 'just right' :).

I just bought 2 jackets and would like your opinions....tags are still on.

1-3, and 8 are a Black zippered jacket from Quiksilver. I love the zipper detail! It is not meant to close and is a soft knit. Here's the link that shows detail better:
http://www.quiksilver.com/prod.....;camp=qgdf

4-6 are a Black double-breasted jacket from the Gap. I don't see this version on line, but it is also a knit and has zipper pockets. I like it closed, but think it looks sloppy open....is there a trick to wear doublebreasted jackets open?

And finally 7 is a black wool Banana Republic jacket I already own, thrifted. It has hook-and-eye closure in the front. I usually wear it open. Should I keep it?

How many black blazers are too many?

Thanks is advance!!!!!
