I tried that one but the cream background clashed with my skin. I'm a winter through and through.</p> <p>FWIW, I have the same skirt in a medium blue and really like it. I agree with leaving the lining. If you take out the lining, you might find yourself needing a slip. I wash mine on gentle and hang it up. It comes out fine, though I think it needs ironing post-wash.... And now I am slightly fearful....but things like this I do not put into the dryer. This was $22.99, so my investment is kinda minimal. I have a similar skirt in black that I got last year on clearance for $4.99. It washed up fine, but again, I did not put into the dryer. I really like the patterned skirt and have gotten compliments. It is right on the edge of too short for me but I only wear it with leggings or tights. A lining is a good thing, and I may wait a little to see if the polyester lining is really as sweaty as I fear....interesting idea to dry clean (or at maybe dryell). I get a lot of wears between washes with skirts, so dry cleaning wouldn't be that bad.</p> <p>Claire, yeah, where is the length? Particularly at Target! I don't know what tall people do! Based on the pics, I like it best unaltered mostly because of the length. I was between sizes and ended up sizing up. The 4 was verra verra fitted and the 6 is a wee bit loose but I think that will be better for summer anyway. I also read a review that said the skirt shrank a bit after a wash--something to consider. I think it is fine as is, I wouldn't take it in because that will shorten it. I also wouldn't rip out the lining. That makes it a good skirt and keeps it in place. I have a bunch of these target skirts. They come out with new patterns and colors every season. They are great basic pencil skirts.
