hmm what if you tried a long fitted tank or tee underneath the short sleeved sweater, maybe something that comes to the hips/upper thighs, over dark wash fitted (maybe skinny?) jeans, with a heel. That might feminize things and show off a bit of your shape?

ETA: I see that you sort of tried this in 6...maybe an even longer, sleeveless underlayber. Then perhaps play with belting it?

Have you tried it with a low contrast cincher belt?

If it's too hard to make it work, then maybe it's not the best shape for you. I definitely couldn't pull it off! I am an hourglass/pear, but that type of top would make me look shapeless.

I like the first sweater the best. If it is a soft white without any yellow, it will look beautiful on your cool skin tone. It definitely looks a lot warmer than the short ones! I have a similar body shape and I would have a hard time with the short-sleeved ones. Better on an hourglass maybe?

I like the blue sweater for the strong colour. I'm not crazy about white cotton yarns. Definitely think the cropped sweaters need a longer layer underneath.

Waving to my boot twin! I like the cardigan and think that it will look even better open. I'm not crazy about the cropped sweaters although I like it best with the skirt. I feel like it is too boxy for you through the body. Just my 2 cents : )

Suz, I have a feeling there is a lot more of me to fill out the blanket sweater than there is of you!

Jonesy - I tried on the cream with a pencil skirt for you and I think it emphasizes my inverted triangleness and NOT in a good way! I am liking the cream short sleeved sweater less and less...

I wondered about sizing up too, but the reviewers of the sweater all seemed to feel that sizing down made it look better. So I worry a bigger sweater will just be big and really boxy.

I think the short-sleeved sweaters are meant to fit a bit slouchy and loose--I wonder about sizing up so you get a bit more slouch to go with the cropped length? I think they would shine on their own (no button down underneath) with a pencil skirt.

That is funny! I just donated sweater 1-3! I am glad it is working for you. I found it too boxy and overwhelming on me, somehow, though in theory it should have been great. It looks a lot nicer on you; seems better proportioned somehow. And if it is cozy, that's terrific! I thought the winter white colour could be very versatile and useful to have, which is one reason I had ordered it.

I sometimes wonder if they pin those sweaters on the models so that they appear to have a bit more shape.

Thanks bran and Nakidra! I found that I'm just not taking the one in 1-3 off - I'm wearing it around right now! So I'm leaning toward keeping it.

Bran, yes, the sweaters are boxy, especially the short sleeved ones with the short length. I'm not loving how they look in these pictures, though I do like the actual feel of the yarn and the idea of a sweater to layer over longer sleeved things. The description warns that they are boxy but I think they look more so on me than on the model. There may be a reason I don't wear short sleeved sweaters...!

Here's the short sleeved sweater: http://canvas.landsend.com/pp/.....038;sku_0=::BSQ&CM_MERCH=IDX_Sale-_-Women-_-Sweaters&origin=index

I think the two cropped sweaters might be tricky to wear. You need a long layering top underneath (but perhaps not too long to keep everything in proportion), and the rounded neckline is kind of tricky, too, because it might make it difficult to match the neckline of the under-layer. That said, I kind of like how the cropped sweater looks in 6-7 but you might need an even longer layer underneath to wear with skinnies.

I love #1-3... I'm not really feeling the other ones. They seem a little too short to my eye, are they supposed to be cropped? I really like what you've got going on with the first one.

If you are cozy and feel good, then that's what matters most. To be totally honest, though, these sweaters look very boxy to me.

First, let me apologize for the quality of my photos. I can't believe how hard it is to take decent pictures of myself!

Here are three sweaters: a short sleeved cream colored one that I initially fell in love with, the same one in navy because I wasn't sure if the cream was a flattering color. I think I could layer both of them over several things. Now I like both of them! But do they fit and are they flattering to my body type? (IT) And a third kind of blanket-like cardigan that closes with a big safety pin. Okay for cozy MOTG wear?
