I find boots that scuff easily from fingernails may arrive with a mark or two, but these look like more than one or two marks. Did you call the company to see what they say? (Although that could be on purpose.) I have this problem all the time, the only boots that really fit my calves are stretch boots nowadays it seems. My calves are slim but they are not spindly, just a little smaller than average. </p> <p>The boots are unique and I like the way they look with pants but with the skirt they look too wide for you. That's what always puts me off online shopping when you get either something damaged or it's not what you expected. I would be definately complaining about the scurff damage too - do they get shipped in their box?</p> <p>I think they look great with skirts &amp; jeans, I would suggest maybe wearing black tights with the brown skirt to help break up the "brown-ness" a bit. I would not be happy with online shoe shops that sent me this. I'd send them the photos and see what they would do. There's a lot of leather around my calves--does it make them look too chunky?
