These jeans are about as high as they go, although I do have high waisted WIDE leg jeans (might be too much volume). I will experiment with my darker pairs to see if they work, but my hunch is that the shirt will sit above the waistband like it does here. It might look like a faux-tuck if I wore a black camisole, would that be OK? I may have another skirt that will work after looking through my closet some more, will also test that out. I don't think the issue is fit or silhouette so much as the dressiness of the blouse being *too* far out of sync with the casualness of the pants. The only thing that potentially bugs me (I have the same blouse but haven't posted my K/R yet) is that with the way the print is on the blouse, there's a grey splotch near the shoulder that kind of looks like a water stain. Mine looks the same (and so does Kari's). I haven't decided if that bugs me enough to return it just on that basis--I'm just a little picky about print placement issues, but it's probably not enough to be a dealbreaker.
