I'm sure the *right* red jacket is waiting for you somewhere. As sad as you may be to let this one go, now you know exactly what you're after. It's actually not bad to try badly fitting stuff, that's quite a quick way of learning how much you're willing to put up with in that sense.
I'm sure we'll have über-stylish update from you pretty soon.

I really liked both jackets on you...the red one especially, with how it was cut in the back.

Sad to see the red one go back....but I'm excited to see what you're going to replace it with.

Just make sure that you get yourself another red piece, if possible the exact same shade of the noughty jacket, because the color is great with your hair and complexion. It brings out the redness of your hair and it looks very chic with your polka dot skirt.

I sadly have to say, I will return the red jacket tomorrow. I wore it around at home without cutting the tags yesterday just to see how I would feel in it. And after two hours and some movement, I looked in the mirror and the lining of the blazer was doing very strange things to the shape of the jacket. The outer fabric is a bit knit-like and the lining somehow pulled on the fabric. I had to take it off and fuss with it to get it right again! I really liked the idea of a red blazer, but I'm not willing to put up with this strange phenomenon every time I wear it. It's a pity.

The denim is great, nice fit, good length, flattering wash. The red is another good fine, and perfect to find in time for Valentine's day. I really like the shape on this one too.

Thanks, everyone! :)

So, I'm going to keep the denim jacket - surprise, surprise!

And I'm definitely still feeling ambivalent about the red jacket. I accept the color, I think that's okay and like you all said the red doesn't overwhelm me. But I'm still undecided about the fit. On the one hand does the jacket look pretty good when it's open, on the other hand is the creasing when it's closed up. I know that I probably wouldn't find a better fitting jacket, but I think that the pulling would bug me if I would wear it closed (like CocoLion said). But it would definitely not be an everyday jacket, anyway. I like what ellie said, about only keeping something which fits 100%. But on the other hand I don't think there's a 100% blazer out there which I can afford. I'm also unsure about the fabric. It's synthetic and fairly warm. So not a summer blazer, but more a spring one. But a blazer for colder weather I can't button up? Mmh. The blazer wasn't expensive, even for H&M, so I thought I should keep the jacket anyway. But after writing this I'm unsure again.

ellie, the skirt is actually two or three years old and a no name brand. It's a simple summer cotton skirt and I think I got it in some grocery store that sells clothing, too. Like in Aldi or Lidl?

Una, these are puffy sleeves, yes. I never wore puffy sleeves before!

Denim jacket is very cute. I like the red jacket, too, especially from the side. However you are right it is pulling. How often you actually wear your jackets buttoned would be the determining factor. If it's 80-90% unbuttoned, then you could keep it but if it's 50%, the pulling would start to bug you mentally.

You're going to have to pull your hair back to see the pretty blazer shoulder line like we can see in #3 Also, love that cute polka dot skirt!

Love the red jacket--you look adorable in it. I suspect it will be difficult to find a perfectly tailored jacket unless you go for a much higher-priced brand, or unless you happen to match their fit model. You must feel comfortable in it though. (Thinking I will go check out H&M this week.)

I actually think a little bit of creasing like that is normal for the blazer style. I actually love it on you. The only thing is to be sure the arms are long enough, but I am no expert for that. With the denim jacket, the fading gives me pause, but if it is not so extreme in real life, then it's a go.

I think Sveta is right on about the cropped style in back and flared skirts.

Denim jacket is a no-brainer and a definite keep.

Red jacket is fantastic, I'd prefer it just a bit shorter, but that's just me. Bearing in mind you're not happy with the fit, I'd return it. I think anything that makes you too self-conscientious, as constant thinking about these creases would, does not belong in your new wardrobe. That's my principle at least. Nothing beats the feeling of wearing the garment that fits as it should.

Last but not least, where is your super-cute skirt from???

I got this denim jacket and the red blazer at H&M yesterday. I think I'm going to keep the denim jacket, because it fits well. The shoulders are just right, the sleevelength is fine and it fits my waist! The bleached parts don't look that extreme for real, just in the picture. But I'm not so sure about the blazer. Is the red too much for me? It's shorter in the back with these accentuated shoulders, nothing I had on before. The fit is good in the shoulders and the sleeves are alright, too. But I don't like that there's creasing when it's buttoned up. I tried it on in different sizes, but it always pulled when I tried to button it up!

What do you think?
