I'm glad none of you found it too gappy--I didn't, but I was concerned that they might look that way to a more objective eye. The gaping does say "stylized" and not "ill fitting". However, is the stylized, flared top the look you want in your boots? There's a bit of a nod to renfaire/steampunk/victoriana/romance/"costume" in the boot styling, which is nice if that's where you're going. But there was a MyHabit sale last week so I pounced. What do you think of these booties? There's a bit of gape around the ankles but to me that comes off as the style of the shoes, not as an excessive gape. But they are expensive, so I want them to be perfect. Unfortunately, my pictures don't capture the color really well, but they're a lovely rusty red suede.</p> <p>Thanks in advance! </p>
