The Power of Bookending! I think they look fab with the jeans and the dress--IMO you can totally wear these with dresses, and I would give a pencil skirt pairing a go too. They are rugged, but also streamlined in a way (simple, fit you nicely in the calf), so I can see them being very versatile for you. They would look splendid with all of the blue that you wear (with a medium blue pencil skirt? fab!).</p> <p>Slight cons: the slightly snugger one would give me pause....though I have some Frye boots and sandals and the leather does seem to stretch a bit (or you could easily have a cobbler stretch it just a pinch--that would probably be a 1-minute job). The other "con" isn't really a con and might be just in my mind: I know these bookend your hair perfectly so you automatically have a second lighter color going on, but my eye wants to see these boots with other lighter pieces (so, with the dark dress as you've shown, but maybe with a lighter belt too, not necessarily matching the boots, but not black). To my eye, the first look is so perfect because you have the darker jacket, but then the blouse that has some lightness to it, along with the darker gray in it.
