Reading through the comments, it seems I'm not the only one with these boots (or a similar pair) and haven't worn them much because styling cream boots with the right colored bottoms isn't as easy for some reason. That's actually what led me to keep both Paige denim in my last keep return post, I could justify using both wide legs and straight legs going into fall/winter. One thing I have noticed with inspiration photos with barrel jeans in particular, I rarely see them paired with boots, a shoe that shows some skin (ballet flats, pointy flats, sandals, etc) appears to be the footwear of choice. I'm wondering it it's to help soften the look a little. Since I don't currently own any flat closed toe shoes that's something for me to consider. Also, the utility pockets sit exactly where I am widest, my upper thighs (I'm a pear shape).
