I thank you have made some great decisions about keeping the booties (I have some similar) and looking for a drapier shirt. I also agree #2 looks awesome.

I'd definitely wear socks with the boots, but that's just me. In fact, I'd probably use it as an option for color pops

I am so grateful for your feedback.

I was going to return the shoes because I had one of those "what was I thinking" moments after I purchased them but if you think they are cute, I am going to reconsider.

Sorry Puffenstuff I do not have side view of the shoes, my boyfriend has my camera for a few days (doesn't he know this is interfering with my YLF relationship?!) But the picture in #2 shows me wearing the shoes w/ socks on.

Honestly I do not know how to wear shoes like this, is it OK to wear socks in the winter? Or is this the dork in me peeking out?

Renata -- Thank you for confirming my suspicion over the t-shirt colors. The stone colored one makes me look kind of ashen.

Aida and Alaskagirl -- thanks for the links, very instructive.

Sveta and Alaskagirl -- thank you for explaining how oversized t's should fit.

Aida -- I have some shorter boxier over-sized t-s that I have worn (once) with a tank underneath, as you suggest. I'm not sure if it works on me, I will post some pictures in the future.

Rute, Lisa, Anchi and Angie -- I tried belting w/ the blazer but something isn't working with the fabric and overall cut so I think these are going back. However I have another rayon oversized t from a few years ago that is more drapey that I tried belting and it works. Thank you for this idea (now I can finally wear the said drapey t as a t, not just a night shirt.

I love the boots! The tees are too wide.. maybe you can find others as long but a bit more fitted.. or add a belt.

I love the booties - but I don't really know much about t-shirt sizing or styles, so I'll let other YLFers comment on them!

What Anchi said. LOVE the booties, and the Tees are fab if you add a belt and blazer.

The booties are awesome!

As for the oversized tees, I'm a fan of them in general, but only when cinched with a wide belt or tucked into skirts. If you have any A-line or wraparound skirts in cotton or denim, the tees will look great tucked into them, I think.

I love the bohemian vibe of the blue-white-black patterned top in the first pic!

The booties are cute - do we get to see a side view? I think the oversized T look is hard to carry off so I agree with the fit issues the other ladies mentioned above.

I like the booties. I have found that oversized shirts need to fit in the shoulders and then be roomy after that. Looks like these ones too big in the shoulder so they hve that sloppy look. #2 looks better but I would prefer a longer length for a roomy top - like tunic length - or cropped to wear over another top.

I like the booties as well!

If you want the oversize style tee I'd suggest looking for some that are more sheer and drapey, and a touch shorter that you can layer long tanks under (you'll want contrasting hemlines for spring most likely). Something like this:
http://content.nordstrom.com/i.....293307.jpg

I think they may fit your boho-urban style a bit better.

I love the top in #2 and booties are very cute! I really don't like the colors of the t's on you, kind of wash you out, not like #2 makes you glow!

I like the booties! Agree with Mo that the oversized t-shirts need to be a different shape or length or fabric. More trapeze shaped and fitted on top? I love the oversized look but people always tell me my clothes don't fit , so they obviously don't see what I see in the mirror! I think it has to be REALLY exaggerated to look deliberate, like this:

http://www.garnethill.com/over.....ater/16549

and then it's not always flattering, sadly.

I think the booties are cute for spring! But I'm not a fan of the oversized t's. They look just that - too big. Sorry. Maybe if they were drapier (is that a real word?) either in material or construction?

Hi -- What do you think about these booties (#1 and #2)?

What about the oversized Nation T-shirts in #3 and #4? (I'm thinking for spring / summer.) Actually I have no idea what the t-shirt trend will be for 2011, but I'm guessing we're not going back to fitted t's for a while.

Thanks for your opinions and help!!!
