I think you are probably right to return. You are not happy now, and if not happy now, you won;t wear them later as you continue to mentally search.

Thanks for your input! I think I'd end up unhappy with them in the long run, so will be returning the jeans. I'll have to carve out time to sew some. I know I can make them fit. It would have been nice to have instant gratification though!

I agree with Beth Ann - I think the ripples are due to the stretch, but I don't think they're a big deal. To me, the dark ones look good, and the gray ones look like they're cut a bit off (Beth Ann nails it again, I think). I actually really like the "dowdy" ones you're wearing too, and the chambray is a winner!

Amy, I like the jeans in #1:). They look like a straight leg, or maybe slightly tapered? I think by wearing booties, you will elongate the leg, continuing the line of the jeans and create a more streamlined look.

I don't love the grey jeans as much but Amy that's more about me not loving light toned jeans.

Chambray shirt looks good.

I will send you the measurements of the trouser jeans tomorrow xx

Ahh, Beth Ann, you put the finger on a bleeding wound! A longer yoke and the too big, low and far placed pockets are my horror parts of some jeans too:-(((. Why, oh why don't they cut smaller, rounder/angled pockets and place them higher and closer on other than premium special jeans, too??? hat's that hard in it????
BTW, I think the ink jeans are Ok, but I like the greys better! You have a slim figure Amy, you can wear them pround with some longer tops!

Amy: I suspect the wrinkling is a result of the stretch content in the fabric, and it doesn't disappear when sizing up.

I really like the navy jeans --- the wrinkling is not a big deal here, partly because of the dark color. The camera, btw, tends to grab and enhance the wrinkles. These pants would play so well with your style! I like the grey, although I wish the back didn't have such a long yoke, and the pockets were a tad higher. Since it's all low contrast with no accent stitching, this isn't a deal breaker. I think the grey is fresh and your legs look so amazingly long!

Thanks, Adelfa. Yes, I tried the larger size jeans. They were far too loose.

I think the crispness of the flocked fabric may be causing the rippling. If I truly loved the jeans I'd probably try washing them a few times in the hopes that they would soften. Bad advice if you want to return though.

Did you try sizing up in the gray jeans? I find that shade of gray to be unforgiving, similar to a white, and I always size up in white.

Cute shirt! You'll get a lot of use out of it.

I was so excited about both of these jeans when I tried them on in the fitting room, but now am having second thoughts. The pictures reveal some fit problems I hadn't noticed.

1-4. Blue flocked jeans. These are supposed to be ankle pants. I bought the longs and have to confess that I'm totally in love with the fabric. That may be blinding me to reality. Are they still too short? Is all the sagging and bagging an eyesore? I cannot size down because I like to breathe.

2. Grey jeans. Love the color. Again with the sagging and wrinkling...

3. Current dowdy jeans

4. Chambray shirt - I'm pretty sure I'm keeping this, but if you notice anything really bad, speak up!
