Not weird at all, if you ask me Kelly. I wear my trenches all the time (granted, it does rain often in Belgium:-) definitely also when it's dry and sunny, yet chilly.

Thanks! I’m verra verra relieved that I don’t have to replace. My outerwear collection is pretty minimal--probably the only thing minimal in my closet!

@Rae: Ooh, that’s a great idea. I’m going to try that for sure!

@Glory, Ceit, Mo: Thanks!

@Denise, Inge and Ingunn: I’m laughing, Denise! I usually wear the red trench with skinnies because the only time I wear this is when it is actually raining! I’ve never worn it with a dress or skirt because I never wear those things when it’s raining. (Notice a theme here?) I was *just* thinking that I could zip out the liner and have a lighter weight trench to wear more often. I forgot that it had a zip out liner--it’s so well made that the zipper is hidden! What a dork, I am! As long as you are sure it’s not weird to wear a rain coat when it’s not raining, I will give it a go! Thanks!

They look fine to me. If you are still happy with them I don't see a reason to replace any of them.

Idea: can you wear the red coat with skirts or dresses. Or, wear with a skinny skinny leg pant and more delicate footwear. The coat has a voluminous aspect which needs to be balanced with slimmer, more delicate profile pieces underneath.

You look to be set from what I see! I second the belt in back suggestion. You can also flip the belt over and buckle from the back if you know you'll be opening and closing a lot. You still get a good waist cinch and don't have to worry about a knot.

Thanks, Suz. I will try to tie the belt in the back. I forgot about that trick!

@Pil: Thanks! Gosh, it's a relief. I was dreading the K/R trench posts and I hadn't even ordered yet!

These all look terrific, to me, Kelly!

For the second one, can you tie the belt in the back if you want to wear it open? I do that sometimes with one of my trenches.

I even like the stadium coat. You look wonderful in the black and the red.

I had to dig deep into the closet to find my outerwear. I was considering replacing my black trench but after looking at a bunch on line, I'm thinking this one is basic enough to last for at least another year. (The replacement I was considering is shown in picture 4.) What do you think?

The red "raincoat" is an Angie pick from NAS a couple of years ago--still going strong. Wish I could figure out a way to wear it open. Second picture shows the belt stuffed in the pockets (not very pretty.) I really only wear this when it rains--so not very often.

The last black one is LE and used mostly for out door sporting events. Not pretty but functional and machine washable.

Do any of them scream "replace me" to you?

Thanks!
