I do think the block heel will be more versatile than the cuban-style heel on the VCs (although those are arguably more trendy). I wonder if neither one is quite right? There's a lot of snakeskin out there this season, if you're willing to keep hunting. I still have not been bitten by the animal print bug, but even so these Madewell boots caught my eye.
