Beth Ann, thanks for the tip. Ill take several pairs back to try on next time.

PS. There's a big variability in ON jeans -- same style and size can fit very differently. I always take back at least 2 of each size. They must cut out a huge stack at a time -- that can sometimes create the difference.

Maybe one size down would stretch to where this size was before they stretched!

I like them and agree with others that these pants would look great with a half tuck!

Thanks all for you comments.

Jenava, yes my torso is long and here it looks it. Actually, I am finding this shirt increasingly difficult to wear and it might be donated.

Shiny, funny you though to pair this top with the BF's too. I feel liek this much volume on the bottom cant handle too much volume on top, but I dofeel this is a bit more body con than I am going for these days.

Suz & BethAnn, After wearing these a few hours I do wonder about the size down as well. The jodphur-ish look on the thigh has gotten larger and larger without being intentional looking. One size down in the store i didnt feel great about, in fact i thought two sizes down was better than 1 size down. Of course two sizes down just looked a lot like the denim clams I already own. A little longer but not remarkably different. So for comparative purposes I got out my light wash AG Angel's that I dont wear b/c the back pocket spacing is not quite perfect and it bugs me. DH immediately comments on HOW much more he liked those and that no one is going to notice the pocket thing. Well, the distressing is definitely much more premium looking on those and I like the overall color better too. Maybe a false denim patch could be affixed to "fix" (i.e. cover) the pocket placement issue. Or maybe i just need to go premium for BF jeans or.... Well, now I am just rambling. I am leaning toward return or exchange sizes, keep the comments coming

Hey, I have that very same top! I have worn it in the Fall with my baggy LOFT BF's - I didn't take a picture but imagine it half-tucked, with leopard pointy toe booties, cuffed higher than the bootie so that some skin shows. Then white pleather scuba jacket and red scarf.

With that outfit, my top half does look extra long proportionately. Heels help a lot, and cuffing up higher, and half-tucking, so just the belt buckle is showing. But also I think it is the factor of higher neckline + bustiness. However I am quite fine sacrificing a little bit of figure flattery for a LOT of comfort.

And yes - I prefer these worn lower on your hips -- thankfully you have a belt to keep them on! My LOFT baggy BFs would also fall down without a belt.

I like them in #5, but I don't like the top because I think it makes your waist look really long. I'd like t see them lower on the hip but with the half-tucked tee instead. I rather like them in the first photos with the gladiators, except for the aforementioned crotch scrunching. I have a similar pair, not quite a baggy, and with quite a lot of holes. I need to post some photos for advise. I might try them with a half-tuck like this.

I also would think that a size down might work, but if they don't, they don't. I think you're going to need to wear a heel with these to pull them off, IMHO.

You got great advice already! The dropped crotch point made a different. Now, I find all my ON jeans stretch quite a bit. I don't mind that, but I plan for it. If it were I, I'd probably size down 1 size, but I understand your desire for a true baggy look.

And I'm so envious of anyone with warmer weather!

I think they might be better a bit lower -- the waist is big and up higher they are gathered and making the crotch poufy. Snugging them down a tad might fix that. They look soft and easy and comfortable to wear. I like the wash on you.

I like baggy too! Balances out my bottom half. These are cute. Not sure if it's the picture, but something appears to be going on in the crotch.... can you loosen up your belt and scrunch these down a little lower on your waist? To drop the crotch point down some more? Or is it already well dropped and it's just the shading in the pic?

I suggest before taking the tags off, you wear them in the house a full day. See how much they stretch out.

Angie's post yesterday got me going to get the BF jeans checked off my 2014 shopping list and the season to wear them is arriving. My old pair (pic 4) was totally worn out in the thigh inseam and fitting tighter than I'd like (I've gained a few pounds). So off to Old Navy for these BF's that were an Angie pic last summer/fall. These are sized up 2 sizes from what I usually wear/how these looked on their model.

I know the super oversized look wont be everyone's cup of tea. But if you are into baggy... let me know, do these work? I am looking for something VERY different than my skinny's, and slouchy skinny's both of which I have plenty of. I think it's a yes, but.... My eye has made several mistakes in the past month cutting tags too early on at least 2 items I later wished I could return. And I have never regretted returning an item, so I am not cutting the tags quite yet. Please excuse my end of day unstyled hair. Thanks for your input.

ETA: photos 5, 6 showing waist better. This is my longer white belt, so about 1.5" more dropped to the hip (yes, I have two of the same belt in different lengths so I can always wear the same hole and then they dont show a wear point). Better? (Giving the "at home test run" so please excuse the socks and hair....)
