They did seem to work but are kind of " almost but not quite". Which made it hard to toss and then tempting to relapse.<br /> And the pleats- paradox of pleats is I have bee living them with tapered pants and track pants look, and even my culottes; but they don't seem to be as flattering in these.<br /> So I HAD planned to start over. </p> <p>The changing trends may be getting to me, too. I mean, wide legs can be great for pears. Then pouf, they disappear from the scene mostly for years, and I adapt and gear tops and footwear to narrower and tapered styles . Toppers, too. Then back we go.<br /> I'm pretty sure I'm not just a grump- it's more that I plan to do some other things with my spare time! And I am so leery of " wardrobe dissatisfaction" setting in as a companion. The donate bag doesn't sit around very long at my house. I'm a slow purger, though. Something can be unloved in my closet for a few years, especially when there is something I do like about it. Both items seem to be trending now, so even though there are flaws with each one (I wish the shirt was a little more fluid in fit, and the faux shearling is a little stiff), I thought I'd try styling them this F/W before giving up on them. </p> <p>It sounds like your pants could still be useful. And I can certainly relate to having difficulty with pants fit, so I tend to hang onto them for a long time even if trends move on. I did wear them last year but had 2 comfort issues: one was comfort ZONE -- nothing like them on my environmental horizon. They are pretty wide and drapery.<br /> Second was more legit-- they are a tad short in stride for ideal fit though they do work with tucking and a belt. And I have them hemmed to my highest boot heel, for leg line. </p> <p>NOW with all the wide legs out there, I'm having second thoughts. These are not high quality fabric, but, they are here and god with color palette, and I don't have a lot of time and energy for new pants trials, which are so hit and miss.<br /> So maybe should do pull them out of the sack and do some outfit creation because I would have instant fitter- over- wide options!<br /> Have you been drawn back to your discard bin thinking you were too hasty? </p>
