I couldn't think of anything when I first read this post. I just looked at Tracey's gorgeous new purse and was reminded of all the structured bags that are in my closet. I so love the look of a structured bag with the nice short handles until I try to use them. *sigh*

Mo, you should give it a try. It would look really nice on you.

I keep wanting black lace. (It used to be black velvet). Every time I see something black lace, I want it. I have a beautiful black lace dress with no lining on the sleeves so it is just black lace over bare skin...I love it so much. I bought it winter before last and have never worn it. At least it was deep discount.

Black lace does not factor into my casual lifestyle at all, and is too sexy looking for most occasions I would get dressed up for. It is so not my life but for insane reasons I feel like it is so me. The me I wish I was, I guess. Not the real me. I'm not sure what I would call that, but I don't think reassuring is the word!

I think I have a way to go evaluate my core look.....still on my training wheels here.

There are a couple of looks that I do love but are not right for me because of lifestyle, body type or age....and occasionally I do have pangs for them. I love short loose shifts in the 1960s style....but boxiness is not my friend. I also love flimsy fabrics that are just not worn enough in my working from home, running around to sports grounds life.

I sometimes think it would be fun to live a different life for a couple of days JUST to get the chance to wear these sorts of clothes.

LBD, I'm thinking of it, but just thinking at this point. I am returning Madewell white BF shorts that came today and am still waiting on my H&M hat to come. I want to settle the incoming stuff first and then see where I'm at before pulling any triggers. And besides, it might go down in price the longer I wait

Absolutely. It's how I keep winding up with all these precious, fussy little vintage jackets that belong to a fantasy life I can't begin to identify :)

This really is a cute little sundress, Mo. Are you thinking of pulling the trigger?

This may be a shadow style for you Mo. I do think it can be accessorized in a way that could make it more Rock and Roll.

I do this sometimes too - but often when I explore (and buy the item) I end up feeling like it doesn't fit my life. But then again wearing anything too fashion forward would likely leave me feeling more self-conscious than I want.

BTW, I just found this blogger Mo and thought you might enjoy some of her looks. She's pretty RATE but some of them had a rock and roll vibe (to me at least).
http://www.itsnotthatdeep.com/.....-back.html

To a certain style that may not be 'your' core look? I realized this morning that I had my eye on a white halter dress months ago, but knew it was not in keeping with my lifestyle http://www.revolveclothing.com.....&mkwi
Fast forward half a year or so and here I am enamored once again of a white halter dress. But this time it's a) more casual and b) more bra friendly. Essentially, more wearable.
I find it funny, but reassuring, when I come back to a style I have bookmarked in the past and then forgot about. Do you do this? And, if it's a little bit outside your 'norm', do you explore further or just enjoy it vicariously through pictures?
