I got the 0, Tanya. Why not order it and compare? The 0 fit me in the shoulders so I stayed with it. But I do worry you would lose the length in the torso. On me it is a bit longer (since I'm shorter than you.)

I usually go either a 0 or 2 in the J. Crew tops but this one said that it was a looser fit (which I figured meant that it was cut to be fluid) so I tried the 0 and decided to keep it. Not that I have worn it yet. (Too cold here still.)

I am the only one here who loves the Mango the best! To my eye, this is perfect. The others fit great too, but I would love them more if slightly longer. Do love them both half tucked.

The Mango to me is unexpected fit for you, Tanya, but it works to my eye and I like. A lot. But you have to feel fab and if you don't, then back it goes!

Thank you so much for your input everyone!

I think I will send the Mango top back, since I have something similar, but in silk, coming. The sweatshirt I will definitely exchange for a smaller size.

Suz, I like how your kitty shirt fits! Which size it? Mine is 2, and wondering if 0 might be better, as it will be pretty fluid either way...

Kitty shirt twin!!!! I have the same one and I ordered it in my usual size but I think it fits maybe a little more closely than yours but not a ton. I have the sleeves pushed up so that's a bit difficult to tell. It's definitely a boxy fit. I think you could stay the size you are or go down to your regular size and either would be quite fluid.

(It looks great on you, by the way).

I like the sweatshirt but might like to see a size down for comparison.

I feel as if the Mango top is not quite right somehow...it's not just that it is loose, but somehow the pattern doesn't seem like the best for the fit of it, if that makes any sense.

I like the fit of #1 and #3.

I would size down on the sweatshirt. A fitted welt is more versatile.

Tanya, I have the kitty blouse too, and the fit on me is just like yours. It's a boxy shape. The pale blue should be really pretty with your coloring.

I like all of these, but 3 and 5 are my favorite, the classic shape of #1 throws off the looser fit to me. If that top in #1 had a long hemline and the sleeves were not bunching at the wrists I would like the looser fit more. I guess I prefer looser fits in the torso area only.

Thanks ladies!
Unfrumped, the materials are the following: silk for the cat blouse, cotton for the sweatshirt, rayon for the tee. All pure, no blends.

I like it in #1. I think #2 is probably okay because really it will be "in motion" and not the Batman pose. I think the colors and depth are very pretty on you. But for fabric, crepe what? If all poly, that will be sweaty. If a rayon blend, maybe okay. The longer sleeves would not be a deal-breaker in a cotton blend, for example, especially since there is airflow room.

I think the fit of all three look fine but go with what you're comfortable with. I don't think you'll lose too much of the design concept by sizing down.

Una, you have a sharp eye! I have lost about 8lbs from my average weight, and am hoping to try and somehow gain at least half of it back, once I am done with the final treatment next month.

The only thing that looks big to my eye is the Mango tee, maybe because of the pattern. And with the half-tuck it looks fixed. It is hard to see the j. crew fit but both of those look fine from what I can see. I saw that sweatshirt in store and felt it ran small.

I have started slowly working on my spring wardrobe as a part of going back to normal life. I have ordered some things online, and I have to admit that I am struggling with the fluid fit. I love such fit in itself, I just have trouble figuring out if the items are already made looser and you should order my regular size, or I should size up.

Here are such three items for your considerations, all in a size bigger than normal: J Crew silk kitty blouse, J Crew navy embroidered sweatshirt, Mango woven tee. Do they look OK or should I exchange them for the next size down? None of the tops are styled, I have just thrown them over the jeans to show how they fit.

For the sweatshirt in particular, I think the fit through the body is fine, but the band at the bottom is wider than my hips!
