"Killer"-quality? I'm giddy! Thanks, Angie. Will definitely keep an eye out for bright kelly green in the future. And I'll try to wear skinnies more often.
Seeing such a variety of body types on YLF look fab in skinnies is motivating me to make them a more central part of my wardrobe.

You look wonderful in skinnies. What have you been waiting for. I’m glad that they are in circulation. Good for you! They are SO practical for our wet weather.

Thanks, Taylor - but RE: not being to pull off certain color combinations yourself, don't knock it until you've tried it too!

When I first started dying my hair red I toned down my clothes and wore a lot of browns and neutrals with occasional pops of color, thinking that I would look too gaudy if I tried to mix more than that. Then I started reading Kasmira's blog (whatiwore2day.blogspot.com) as well as Londyn's blog (fashionistastyle1.blogspot.com), and more recently the YLF forum and Academichic, and really admired the daring color combos I've seen people wear. I'm still cautious, but having so many fine examples and learning the basics of color theory has helped me be bolder about trying colors I'd never have thought would work together. I'm a very visual person and learn well by blatantly copying other people.

How interesting that the teal/apple green color combination is so polarizing! I was very unsure about whether the colors worked or were too flashy. (I was looking for interesting colors to pair with the apple green and actually saw the blue and green colors on the YLF forum page, which are relatively close to the shades of the cardigan and top in real life.) I'm not great at discerning subtle shades/hues, so I appreciate feedback about whether or not they work together.

I also did not realize how much green I wore last week until I read your comments. I'll try to take all of your advice and wear it throughout the year.

Happy to hear that the skinnies work even with flats! I'll try to break them out more often, but I'm not used to having my hips take center stage quite as much as they do in skinny jeans.

CrWilson, I'll bet you could find skinny jeans (or narrow straight jeans) that work. I tried and passed by a lot of pairs that didn't work and decided that I need a high rise (10" or more), a lot of stretch, and a wider ankle opening in order for them to work on my curvy frame. It's worth a try, anyway. I've only now convinced my mom that she can wear them with boots after she saw how fantastic she looked in my jeans!

Kristen, unfortunately when I take mirror shots (and am too lazy or rushed to set up a tripod), the colors end up a bit distorted due to light coming in through the orange and pink sheer curtains in my window. The pic with the flash is much more true-to-life.

Look at how you rocked all those shades of green! All look amazing on you. That patterned jacket really did come alive with the chartreuse, the kelly green dress was fab, LOVED the eggplant and mint! I actually didn't love the teal-and-green combo in the larger picture, but when you added the close-up I was sold. I think it's one of those that works better in real life than in a darker photo. And you rock both jackets!

Hope you're feeling better. Spring colds are the worst.

The teal and green combo is my favorite! Love it. Also, you can definitely do skinnies. I love the green dress on you, and I know how you feel about the cami thing. You should wear a lot of this green! Eggplant is another great color for you.

I love all of your color combinations, and you look amazing in the kelly green. Your skinny jeans look great too - I've been trying to get brave enough for skinny jeans, but it hasn't happened yet. The only color combo I wasn't sure about was the teal with the other green, but it may just be something I'm not used to seeing.

okay, i have to comment really quickly so i can go get ready for work, but two things that stood out to me in a great all-round week:

a) that shade of green? MADE for you. absolutely stunning.
b) you rock the eggplant and mint combo (now i feel like i should try that in a recipe...)! that scarf is so pretty.

I'm trying to push myself a bit farther with color combinations and getting comfortable with shapes I don't often wear (skinny jeans and cowl necks.) I know, I'm a very late trend adopter. I've actually had skinny jeans for a few years but rarely feel skinny enough to wear them.

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday: Did not leave the house. I was sick with a rotten cold last week and spent a great deal of it in bed with tissues and cough syrup.

Wednesday: Patterned quilted jacket with chartreuse:
http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....-dead.html

Thursday: Teal cowl-neck and apple green cardi:
http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....-blue.html

Saturday: Not the most exciting colors (except for the electric blue), but I dug out an old necklace I bought years ago in France that reminded me of Angie's yellow casual necklace from her Spring Accessories series. Also broke out the skinny jeans with flats, which I rarely feel secure enough to try:
http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....house.html

Sunday: Finally the sun came out! It seemed like the occasion to break out a bright kelly green dress. (The dress is an okay shape for me but could be better. The pleating in front and in back doesn't pooch too much, but I'd rather it wasn't there. I'd also love it if I could avoid wearing a cami under the dress, but that's a lot to ask for in a low, square neckline.)
http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....unday.html

Monday: Eggplant and mint (based around a pretty scarf my mom just passed on to me.)
http://inkariswardrobe.blogspo.....-mint.html
