You see, i don't have a little black dress, and haven't had once since high school. My 'Amelia Earhart crash-lands in a flock of Gibson Girls having tea' style makes it very difficult to find the perfect blend of practical and romantic, so for decades now i have done without.....by now i'm sure you are all guessing that instead of this little black top and skirt my outfit would be much more appealing, up to date, and my wardrobe much more functional with the inclusion of the Ruffle Lace Neckline Dress.</p> <p>I often wear this type of outfit for weekends. my husband loves to be spontaneous, and this type of look works equally well for hiking on the pacific coast bluffs, antiquing in the Gold Country, wine-tasting in the Napa valley, checking out the vendors on Telegraph Avenue, or just running a few errands. (Of course, i'm the Queen of Planning Ahead and this spontaneity drives me nuts! At least i've figured out how to dress for it!) I've included a couple of detail photos to show how the lacy ruffle details reflect my love of 'hearts and flowers' - i made the earrings from black bows and clear quartz hearts and the chain belt features dimensional roses.</p> <p>Karen Kane, please complete my outfit and save me from the shame of a wardrobe with no little black dress!!! steph </p>
