I don't normally like tops like this one but I do like it on you in all the photos except the last 2 and number 2.

I think it needs a longer cardi or jacket o go with it. I like the whimsical pattern and it can pair with a lot of items.

I like the idea of belting it to define your waist. Maybe a red belt with red straight leg jeans.

I agree, I prefer a topper over it rather than a layer underneath it.

I have been reading the "putting me together" blog and she explains how blouses need to be tuckable, beltable layerable both under and over so I am trying to accomplish this.......I want my wardrobe to be versatile since I am pretty much starting from scratch ......I am pretty sure 7 and 8 blouse does NOT work ....but would this kitty blouse be under layerable at all for me? This is something I have never done.

I love the print -- very cute! Because it creates volume on top I think you could wear it with slimmer cut jeans. You don't have to go skinny but something more fitted should do the trick.
Otherwise I agree with Carole. A longer cardi would be adorable in red.

Cute print! I think you need a longer jacket or cardi for layering over. The sweater in 3-4 looks too short with this, IMO and I'm not a fan of it with layers under it. I could see this with the jeans, pants and skirt with a red, creme or perhaps cobalt blue jacket or longer cardi. Hope that helps.

I found a cute kitty blouse in the Jr. section at Macy's. It hits many of the notes that I love. The whimsical pattern. I love the colors and the fact that it is machine washable but I have concerns about the blocky look of it....I never know if I should be defining my waste or giving it up. I am also NOT used to showing my upper arms. Not pleasant.

I wanted to try it with things that I already have in my small wardrobe to make sure it is versatile. I also need it to work alone with jeans for my SAHM days....what do you think....?
