Plus, it is so much more pleasant to wear technical clothes actually designed for hiking etc. rather than try to make do with old castoff cotton pants and t-shirts. I am glad I don't live near an REI store. We're talking camping or hiking gear, so nothing that needs to look up to date or changes in fashion much. BUT a lot of it no longer fits my waist comfortably any more. </p> <p>Well, REI is having a sale... I went to get a roll-away cot for our car camping tent, but ended up with pants, shirts and a new down jacket in the best color (even though it was not on sale!), as well as new clothes for my little guy.
